Did you hear him pratically take over announcing in the main event? I swear in the last 15 minutes Cole didn't say one word. He definatley must have had a bad throat, but JBL was awesome going solo. Kinda makes me wonder if they'd be better off having JBL go solo like Joey Styles did in ECW? I think he could prolly pull it off if the E let him.

He did a damn good job. He honestly made me forget Cole was even out there (not that that is hard to do). He is probably the best PBP guy there is.

I've yet to watch the entire No Way Out PPV but I found it hilarious when he went on a rant about multi lingual things at the beginning of the PPV

I think Cole actually lost his voice at the end of the PPV, and JBL did a tremendous job covering for him and taking over both commentary positions.

JBL reached a new level of greatness tonight. I honestly think he could call a 3 hour PPV himself and he wouldn't run out of steam. Talk about taking the ball and running with it - excellent.

His stock will rise with me as long as he keeps verbally destroying the Miz.
BTW, did he do any Miz bashing last night?

JBL was on great form last night. I wish Cole would lose his voice more often.

I thought it was funny at some points though he was talking as if he was giving Cole an opportunity to jump in but then there would be a slight pause and he'd just keep going.

Yeah I like the idea of JBL flying solo. I don't hate Cole as much as most people here, but it was nice not to hear "OH MY!" or "Shot to the skull!".

'OH MY' reminded me that Cole said it when Benoit came out. JBL then proceeded to demolish using such a crap phrase to talk about a former heavyweight champion and the current United States champion. lol

He did an excellent job when Cole just couldn't go anymore. JBL is by far the best man on commentary today in wrestling.

JBL is part of the reason that Smackdown is such an effective show in getting talent, storylines, and matches over.
JBL knows went to get serious and when to goof off, JBL is awesome.
