I've been watching wrestling on and off for the past three or four years, and usually around Wrestlemania I start watching regularly because it's the only PPV I still buy every year. I mean, come on, it's Wrestlemania. Even when the card isn't the most impressive, everybody still busts their ass to put on a great show. But looking at the main event this year, I kind of just have to say...what the hell??
I can handle Batista vs the Undertaker...that's probably the best Wrestlemania main event that Smackdown could offer. But what's the deal with HBK vs Cena? Seriously, where did this come from? I know since Trips got injured that HBK prolly had nothing to do and they probably just threw this together, but I think there are definitely more worthy competitors. Cena vs Edge would be good...those guys have had some good matches. What's the point of HBK being the main event? With Triple H out we luckily don't have to see him in ANOTHER WM main event, but instead it seems like we're being force-fed HBK. Anybody agree?

Cena/HBK hasn't happened yet. Cena/Edge has happened 9 billion times. Plus, HBK is totally over. So, why not?

I disagree. Cena vs. HBK is a match I've been wanting to see for the last couple of years. The only other time they fought I think was in a triple threat match in 05 also involving Kurt Angle. Shawn is still one of the best workers, if not the best, in the company and Cena is the E's biggest star. There's no doubt that they'll have a great match. Cena vs. HHH was a good match and Shawn is twice the wrestler of HHH.
Also, if you look at the roster there really isn't anyone to fight Cena for the title other than HBK. Cena vs. Edge has been done to death. Orton isn't at a main event level yet. Orton is good, but a Cena vs. Orton match would be better a year or two down the line. HHH is injured. Really there is only HBK. And a match versus Shawn, especially a win, will do a lot more for Cena than if he were to fight someone like Edge or Orton who aren't considered to be his superiors.

Yeah, we've seen Cena/Edge a million times. They do have great matches together, but I'll bet anything that HBK/Cena will be just as good, probably better. Shawn may be 41 or 42 years old, but he can still turn it up and get an awesome match out of anyone, and Cena has proved he can have a damn good match too. I expect nothing short of 4 stars from them.

Why would anyone complain about Cena V HBK, what's wrong with it?
Cena V Edge has been done to death, and it's either him or Orton.

Cena v HBK will be a good match...after all, HBK is envolved AND it's WrestleMania ;D Seriously, I really hope HBK wins and they let him drop this DX b.s. Its ran its course, Trips is injured and will probably be out at least another 4 months or so; it's over. Let him go back to his regular (really cool) entrace, already!

HBK vs. Cena also leaves open a greater possibility of a Cena heel turn, which everyone is clamoring for.

HBK vs. Cena is the best WrestleMania main event Raw could offer.

It's the best main event possible involving Cena and a Raw wrestler, pretty much. Only way they could have improved it is by bringing over a Smackdown guy who won the Rumble.
