Well, after weeks of build-up vignettes then a tag title push and subsequent loss to the Spirit Squad then relative oblivion, the burial of the Highlanders as well as the entire tag division on RAW is complete. Tonight on RAW, the Highlanders were completely squashed by Kahli in a 2-on-1 handicap match. I just don't know what to say anymore. Especially since Edge and Orton are going to win back the tag titles next week. Rest in peace tag division. You were once great.

Rest in peace tag division. You were once great. I don't remember this happening any time in the last five years. When the hell did this occur? -.-

RAW has never had a good Tag division. Why start now? I mean Smackdown! is the home of Tag Team competition.

It could be worse. Khali could've raped the Highlanders with a French flag.

When the hell did this occur? -.- it may have been that week that the World's Greatest Tag Team reformed...and nothing came of it. That was a swell week. It could be worse. Khali could've raped the Highlanders with a French flag. That sounds kinda erotic, I'd pay good money to view this.

WWE doesn't care about anything but their main event most of the time. It actually might be one of their biggest problems and it doesn't get a lot of attention. One thing about the Attitude era, there were always a bunch of interesting storylines in the midcard. Now.. not so much.

so because an un-important tag team got squashed on RAW, it's only NOW dead?
It's been dead for years, completely, officially...etc

Back in the 80s, the midcard stuff was featured more on TV by necessity - you had to buy a ticket to a house show to see Hogan actually wrestle (outside of the rare SNME appearance).
Of course, the Monday Night Wars changed that, and even now that they're over, I think the fans still expect to see Cena and Batista wrestle on TV every week. When they do, do you really expect the mainstream fan to care about the Highlanders as much?

It's been dead for years, completely, officially...etc pretty much plus its only the highlanders!! its not like its 5 years ago and they had 1 guy squash Edge & Christian or something, back when tag team wrestling meant something. Is it me or is this topic brought up at least every other week?

RAW's tag team situation has been dead for ages - Cryme Tyme won the #1 contenders slot at NYR, and nothing has been made of it since. Pretty much every tag team save for Cena/Michaels and Rated RKO are always appearing on Heat.

Tag teams, to me anyway, have been dead since the E&C, Hardy's and Dudly Boys days ended. Man do I miss that. WGTT looked like it could have been something, but I guess that's my wishful thinking
