Thats the story right now, and as big a star as Cena/Shawn are, this big story and build up i think will be the M.E to Mania.
any thoughts?

but he'll have to start acting more "heelish" on regular TV now. If WWE still treats him as a face, UT might be billed as the "heel"

It's pretty much guaranteed that if you are facing the Undertaker, and were a face, you are now a heel*.
*That is, unless you're one of these next few men... The Rock, Steve Austin, Mick Foley, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Muhammad Hassan.

I think Taker v Batista is closing the show, although I'm not sure this was a heel turn. Taker did the same thing to Batista the night he chose to face him at Mania, and that wasn't a turn for him. I hope he ends up fully turning though.

The fans' reaction will turn him into a heel even if he currently isn't. They were booing him pretty loudly last night after he attacked 'Taker, along with a few scattered "You suck!" chants.
I guess turning on your opponent/partner during a match is considered more heelish than Taker's attack on Batista after selecting him to be his opponent.

Batista needs to stay face. He is an awful heel and against the Undertaker would be an awful weak heel.
If Undertaker was to go heel the crowd would cheer regardless, Batista gets to keep the face momentum going ready fir the eventual fued vs. the returning Mark Henry. Heel Undertaker vs face Batista would be a great main event and the one i would much rather see.

if takers streak gets beat by big dave, it would put to shame if samoa joe, CM PunK, Bryan Danielson, Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle and Barry Horrawitz were all taken hostage by a bunch of Nazi Commies, and we all thrown in the Artic Ocean.
thats how crazy the internet reaction would be. They would talking about the reaciton on best week ever it would be that crazy.

Not quite. That was just "I choose you - chokeslam!" This was a match where they were partners and had it won..........until Bats apparently just snapped and attacked his partner. Turning on your also-very-popular partner = heel turn.

You just can't turn Undertaker heel... Seriously, I can't think of one thing, unless he actively lit a kitten on fire in the middle of the ring... And fans are going to boo Batista based on the fact that yes, there is a possibility of him beating the Undertaker at this year's Wrestlemania... Problem being that, if you do beat Taker's streak, you're branded as an a**hole for life, and you will never be able to live up to that kind of reputation...

I don't know. The bigger question though, since Botchtista has done an "evil act" that usually would require someone to go one on one with.......................THE UNDATAKAH at the request of Teddy Long, who will Botchtista face? ??

Yeah, Teddy's two favorites are feuding now. Will he have to go back to "BABBY LASHLAH"?

Have you forgotten KANE? but Teddy cant pronounce that word funny. yes, I would believe that this means Taker/Dave goes on last. It would be better to end the show with the title changing hands and I see the possibility in a title change more in this match than HBK/Cena.

I don't think they'll turn Batista heel...
Like him/it or not, at NWO he still got cheered OVER Cena and was second only to Taker when it came to entrance pop. So Batista is still very over with the general audience.
Another reason not to turn him: once the Taker feud is over (let's say summer) and Batista is heel, who's the Top Face on SmackDown? Batista (in this scenario) is heel, just like Booker T, Kennedy and Finlay. This leaves only Kane, a part-time Taker and Benoit... A bit too small and not-so-bookable set of Faces here...
I guess Batista will be tweener-heelish for the feud with Taker but it'll end up like Hogan-HBK or (I guess) Cena-HBK... Feud's over, everyone's a face like nothing happened.

Is The Undertaker still considered a part-time wrestler? It seems since early fall he's been wrestling on a full time basis.

Is The Undertaker still considered a part-time wrestler? It seems since early fall he's been wrestling on a full time basis. Well, he had to pave his road to WrestleMania, like every year... And this time I guess he had bigger plans, so he started earlier. Even if Taker comes back full-tim (I doubt it) I don't think SmackDown! will benefit too much from his presence in the main event... at least in the long run. (see RAW for the effect of having the same people there over and over again)
