Any man who's career can survive "The Helmet of Doom". Has my vote
And he is not an iffy choice in any case, His career speaks for itself and i for one have said in the past that he should be in.

Yes as long as they bring up his time and impact in WCW. If they base it solely off of WWE then no.

If Simmons is not allowed in because of lack of credentials then there are quite a few guys they need to take out.

The only reason people want him in the HoF is because he has become a fad around the boards. His, "DAMN," schtik lost its appeal after two weeks, and is just stupid. If you put him into the HoF based on his credentials, there are a few dozen other guys who deserve to be inducted before him. Look at a guy like JBL, definetly not HoF worthy, but his credentials equal thse of Ron Simmons. Yeah, except the one about Simmons being in 2 great tag teams and being a main eventer/upper mid card wrestler for nearly his entire career in both WCW and WWE. He also won gold in both companies. JBL is great, but Bradshaw was a jobber. Until he teamed up with Ron of course.

I can't believe so many would argue against Ron's induction. He's never really hit the roof but his contributions have went on for about twenty years now. He just sort of quietly does his job. Did nobody else watch WCW? The damn, damn thing should of stopped after the first usage. A one timer used far too many times. Gotta love what Vince thinks you think is funny.

If you are against Ron for lack of credantials than these men need to be taken out now because Ron has done more than them: - James Dudley
- George Steele
- Jimmy Valiant
- Johnny Valiant
- Johnny Rodz
- Junkyard Dog
- Tito Santana
- Cowboy Bob Orton
- Nikolai Volkoff
- Tony Atlas
- Blackjack Mulligan
- Blackjack Lanza
- Jimmy Sunka

Ron Simmons should be nowhere near the HoF. Can we get a Thats Racists gif. Ron for HOF yes no questions asked. If Atlas can get in then Simmons can. How is it racist that I don't believe he is a HoF'er?

He should get it based on his entire career, from Doom to WCW Champion, to the Nation of Domination and the Acolytes/APA, to his current DAMN recurring role (and everything between).

Well that depends on what you're gauging your assessment on. If you're basing it on your standards for what an ideal HoF candidate should be, that's different from basing it on that which the E has used to induct people because, as has been stated, there are many people with far less impressive credentials than Simmons that already have their place in the Hall. So, I'd assume that people are considering it racist either as a joke, or because he's accomplished more in his career than many in the hall have and they're hastily assuming that you're only excluding him based on his race. For all we know, Ron Simmons spit in your ice cream sundae at a meet and greet before Superbrawl II and you're harboring resentment from that.

You know I would say no to Simmons. The Nation of Domination makes me think about it since when he was the head of the Nation he was sort of at a mid-uppercarder that looked like he might evetually get a main event push because his gimmick was cool and I liked that The Nation at that time was militant but was not black oriented with PG-13, Chainz, Crush and D-Lo Brown. When they did the whole gang warz and made them black militant it ruined it for me. Other than that in WWE he was just a tag specialist so nothing really important. His WCW stuff was not special other than his world title reign but that was one of the worst world title reigns ever. SO I can't say to put him in. To many bigger names should be inducted first like Funk, Savage, Dibiase, Steamboat and Roberts.

Yeah really. Why should the first black world champ and a guy who was a great singles and tag team wrestler for nearly 20 years be in the HoF? Cause he only got the title cause he was black and being a good tag team wrestler shouldnt get you into the HOF... Being black had nothing to do with it. His stint in Doom was very memorable, and he was worthy of being the WCW champ. I remember the show that he beat Vader for it, and I couldn't help but to think that WCW was turning a corner. The crowd was genuinely into him winning, when at the time they were not into much. Aside from the Hollywood Blondes and Vader/Cactus Jack (both of which were royally bungled when Flair took over booking), the fans did not care about much that WCW did at the time.

Getting in to HOF debates seems so silly to me. The whole thing is half kayfabe.
You don't get inducted based on your accomplishments. It's who's in good with Vince, who will sell the most HOF DVDS, Who will create the biggest buzz etc.

Yeah thats true but does Simmons create interest? I don't think so. Savage, Roberts, or Steamboat would create interest.

Savage, Roberts, or Steamboat would create interest. yeah, none what so ever, thats why he comes out and says one word every raw and gets a big pop, cause of the lack of interest. Also, I dont think Steamboat would generate alot of interest from the casual fans. Definitely deserving, but I dont think the average fans of today care about him.

I love how Ron's entire career has come down to him saying one word over and over again. It's like when Bart became the "I Didn't Do It" boy.

Well to some maybe, but i remember all the important things he did before he came out and just said DAMN to Kenny, Ashley, Rosie O'Donnell, King Booker, and a fake painting of The Scream, among others. Like the whole being first black world champion thing, and the successful tag team careers in WCW and WWF/E. And of course: Nation of Domination.
