You left out the era when he disappeared from our screens and we didn't have to deal with more of the big orange buffoons title matches......
Sorry, but I HATE Hogan.

1984-1992. Best era in wrestling as far as I'm concerned. Hogan was the main reason for that.

I like him as Hollywood Hogan, especially when he first became the character.

First of all your poll is wrong. You list nearly the entire nWo era as "cowardly". HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN was not a coward. Yes HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN cheated and took cheep ways out at times, but he was a heal. That's what a heal is supposed to do. The only time HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN was ever portrayed as a coward (which sucked) was during the build for the Ultimate Warrior rematch.
The nWo period was my favorite because as a heal HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN had much more freedom to do whatever he wanted.

I voted the WCW unover Hogan, because the image of Randy Savage's elbow drop having a Phoenix Down effect on him made me laugh.
But seriously, the 80s period will never be beaten.

Savage delivers the flying elbow to his unconscious Mega-Power partner knowing from their years of battling that his flying elbow would cause HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN to HULK up. As Savage climbed the ropes and delivered the elbow, the announcers were yelling "Savage is turning on (HOLLYWOOD HULK) HOGAN!" only to find out that Savage was just waking him up. It was a great twist to a classic moment.

1984-1992. Best era in wrestling as far as I'm concerned. Hogan was the main reason for that. Include Savage, Warrior (yeah I know, I lose my smark card for that one), and Piper and I agree 100%. It also helped that the midcard was full of guys like Jake Roberts, Ted Dibiase and Mr Perfect.

There's no question that the 80's had the most talent of any era with HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN clearly being the standout man that brought in the fans. But how can you include the Ultimate Warrior? He may have been over at one point, but so was Uncle Elmer. In retrospect his long term effect on pro wrestling was zero.

I voted for Monster Heel Hogan Me too. But as I said in an earlier post, the monster heal HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN should cover several years and not just several months. Yes he was a heal that attacked from behind. But he was always in control of the situation and therefore had the freedom to be as cocky as he wanted to be. I loved it! nWo 4-Life!
