Man... they should've brought back the KOTR in 2005 and held it at Gillette Stadium to celebrate the 20th anniversary. I would kill to go that '85 show, though.

WWE hasn't done a show at Gillette Stadium since the mid 80's. Probably an ownership issue or something (how much they charge for a show....which would be a LOT nowadays, since the Patriots are far more high profile than they were 20 years ago). I actually went to one (had a box seat with some of my dad's friends). My first wrestling show ever. I remember precious little, except that Beefcake was supposed to be there but wasn't.

They used real themes for those promos/shows back then, such as "Easy Lover" which was the theme for Wrestlemania 1.
Plus, on Superstars or Championship Wrestling as it was called back then had themes after a wrestler won his match and they'd go to a replay, they'd play themes like "Everyone Wants to Rule The World" or "No Easy Way Out" from the Rocky 4 movie. Great times indeed.
I think Race won the 86 one which led to him being called "The King".

I used to love those promos. I remember one with Piper which had "along comes a woman" by Chicago playing in the background. The theme for championship wrestling (which later became superstars) was Michael Jacksons "Thriller"
