I really hope WSX helps in giving WWE a kick is the ass and gets them actually trying again. Were there glaring weaknesses in the show? Oh God yes, can't deny that. But did it keep me completely entertained for 30 minutes? You better believe it. Just accept it for what it is (an over-the-top spotfest with little time for real storylines or psychology) and enjoy the action.
A friend of mine said, "Nothing on this show makes sense, I would rather watch ECW." To anyone who shares this belief, explain how Test acting as if the ECW World Title is all he cares about, and then getting COUNTED OUT OF HIS TITLE MATCH makes any sense whatever. If I'm gonna watch something that makes no sense, at least do some moves that entertain me.

I've seen clips of WSX. Hopefully we'll get it here in the UK eventually.
It looks pretty decent. I hope it's a success.

I don't know which is funnier, the fact that a half-hour show got higher ratings than iMPACT or the fact that a repeat got higher ratings than iMPACT.
It'll probably hold up without New Jack and Credible, but hell let's see. ECW's return premiere had a high rating too. Premieres always attract higher audiences.
But hey, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know...I hope. ;D

And unfortunately enough, there goes my hopes of this steaming pile dying a quick death. I'm still holding out the belief that because it was a premiere it generated one of those "hm what is this?" ratings (See the new ECW premiere for precedence) *sits back and waits for the fires to start burning*

Colt's probably thanking his lucky stars he had the good sense to wear a mask while doing this show .

I still have yet to see this show...
And with my respect of Spanky's opinion, I probably won't.

I like how you always post in WSX topics, considering your such a hater against it. It's all good tho, I hope that WSX lasts because I find it to be the shit.

You can crap all over whatever you want to, as long as you don't bash anyone, and no one can do jack shit about it. I feel the need to express my opinion about this garbage, so I do.

For anyone who liked this show get yourself the XPW dvd,s that are out there. most people on this board would call these crap shows and a waste of your money(and we would be right). However they are very close to the quality of WSX, based on what I have seen so far. So if you actuly enjoy what you have seen from WSX so far(we have only seen one show so they could improve)you will love the old XPW stuff.

(Even though I get annoyed with people constantly bashing things they hate I do the same thing, so I can't complain too much about it.) That being said, I don't find the product to be crap and many people are entertained by it, including myself. It's a flashy spotfest, yes, but I'll take that over the bland and mediocre "ECW." Of course, this situation isn't either/or (i.e. you don't have to like like one and hate the other), but since they're in a very real competition with ECW, both the shows will be compared.

Of course, this situation isn't either/or (i.e. you don't have to like like one and hate the other), but since they're in a very real competition with ECW, both the shows will be compared. Hate to be Devil's Advocate, but they're not in any real competition from my standpoint. Here's why. ECW is on once a week, but I can see the new WSX at numerous times. For example: Tomorrow at 8:30 PM is the premiere episode, once again. However I'll be watching SmackDown so nevermind on that one. Actually, let's compare WSX to SmackDown, that'll make about as much sense as comparing WSX to ECW by the time I'm done mentioning how many times its on. Anyway. If I wait until 11 PM on Friday nights, I can watch the new WSX. Its also on Saturday in the afternoon and Sunday night at 11:30pm. And I believe there's a replay on 2 in the morning on Wednesdays. And that's just on MTV 1 alone. I mean sure, they only advertise the Tuesday timeslot, but if you have the time to browse the schedule you'll see the massive number of replays, and as such I can watch this whenever I really feel like, not just on Tuesdays. And even though I don't support it, I watch it on non-Tuesday slots so I know what I'm talking about when the weekly "So Which was better? ?" topics show up here. And they will show up here. Point is, because I have alternate times to watch WSX, hell I can watch it new 3 days in advance of the advertised time, it's not competing with ECW for my viewing time.

People's negative attitude to the high rating really shocks me.
Look, even if you don't like tna or wsx as wrestling fans you should hope both succeed. Aside from the fact it will make Vince get up off his ass and try to improve wwe television, it also gives wrestlers the chance to work elsewhere and make a living, giving them more leverage when it comes to contracts as such. Thanks to companies like TNA and WSX wrestles have bargaining power and don't have to accept whatever crappy offers Vince throws at them.
If I had a neilson box and didn't watch TNA or WSX, I reckon I would still switch the channel to those shows.

Yeah, that ring announcer made Don West look like an oil painting(which is NOT a good thing) One of the only times I was wishing for New Jack to appear It's hilarious though that the most over guy, New Jack was there for only one show so no more of New Jack, which is good I supose and make it less like XPW. Although with him gone top face has to be Vampiro, who I like alot. And top heel I supose Waltman. Really strange. Well I don't know about especially with the cgi explosions. I'll still watch for people like Sydal, Ruckus, Evans, and Tornado. However It's funny I've never seen Hart before and I already hate that no-selling jerk! Also i loved the part with Credible and Hart Doing a double team move on Kaos(XPW LOSER!) anyway what made it great was Hart was going to do something ridiclous and Credible threw Kaos, basically saying screw that! I loved that! Censoring, here makes me sound like Bobby Lashley!

...In my opinion, WSX should send Vince McMahon flowers because the way he trash talked the original ECW and its fans likely only helped WSX's cause, specificially since it featured several former ECW regulars... RegularS? Were there really more than one former ECW guy on WSX the other night? All I saw was New Jack. Speaking of New Jack, I've met Mustapha Saed, and I've got to say he's one of the coolest guys you will ever meet.
