What is the point of Lawler these days?

I know people have said this before but I think King needs to at least take a hiatus from the commentry position, he used tobe good but now, now hes redused to stuff like shouting "what" in a high pitched way when something happens, ogling women and telling crappy jokes, its rare he comes out with something good.

It could be partly to do with the fact that these days JR and King as a collective unit are stale for one lil fact, they have been together too long and they seem more like 2 old friends (JR the old gentleman with morales and King as his dirty old man mate ) comenting on the game as opposed to a play by play and a color commentater.

they need to mix it up more like WWE used to do..one ppv it would be..say Gorilla ad Brain, next ppv Vince and Piper, then Gorilla and Macho Man..you get the point

I say they do that from time to time.even put some of the vetrens in the position for short periods like Flair and Regal (like Macho and Piper used to do..hellI'd mark for Piper replacing King )

you have sort of answered it yourself back in the day they had a number of great mic men to put on the air. Now it's down to just a few.
And for the Record i dont think lawler has even been all that great.

King as a heel announcer was as good in my opinion as JBL is now, maybe JBL is alittle bit better but King was great as a heel. However now I would rather have Todd Grisham or Johnathan Coachman more than King. Really he is just terrible as a face he adds nothing to the broadcast and bores me. He's done in my opinion what I would do is Corino is retiring soon why not bring in "The King of Old School" and shitcan lawler.
