RATINGS AND BUYRATE NEWS, SURVIVOR SERIES AND DECEMBER TO DISMEMBER LEAD THE PACK, CANDICE AND MORE
by Dave Scherer @ 2:10:00 PM on 1/13/2007
Last night's edition of Smackdown did a 2.6 fast national rating, with a 4 share. That is down from recent weeks. The final number will be out next week.
Here's a link to Billboard's latest listing of Recreational Sports DVD sales. Survivor Series 2006 led the pack in its first week in release. ECW's December to Dismember was second, also in its first week.
Erik Ganzerli reporting. ... I checked on the WWE Corporate website the Weekly Key Performance Indicators and the Cyber Sunday buyrate came in at about 225-230 thousand buys. The sad part is that it actually did LESS than last year's Taboo Tuesday which did 235-240 thousand buys.
That is just downright sad that a Sunday show did worse than a Tuesday PPV.
Wayne M. sent this along. ... On Fox News’ Hannity & Colmes last night, Candice Michelle and Bob Parsons, the founder and CEO of Go Daddy.com were interviewed and discussed the Go Daddy SuperBowl Ad.
Things discussed were:
The fact that CBS has rejected the first ad, and that today they rejected the second. Candice was not aware of this until Bob brought it up, and feels that the ads are not offensive. She says that she hopes the third ad is accepted. Bob says the rejected ads will be available on the Internet next week.
Candice’s new Go Daddy shirt shows off her plentiful assets well.
Clips of some of the ads are shown, which included a midget dressed as a “Leprechaun” with red hair made into devil points, and several ladies dancing around him. This one SCREAMS Vince McMahon-level humor. The guys from American Chopper are shown doing push-ups with the girls sitting on their backs.
Shawn asks Candice if people see her and say “there’s the Go Daddy girl!” She says she is surprised by the people that see her in public and recognize her.
Zero mention of WWE, even when Candice was asked about people recognizing her. I’m not surprised since they were there for Go Daddy.
