I just don't see it. I don't believe that Triple H is living his gimmick of the most evil man alive, thanks. You're no smark. Can I take that as a compliment?

I'm sorry, I just find it hard to believe that Triple H even cares about C.M. Punk, a midcarder on the 'C Show'. It's not like he's in danger of losing his spot or something because Punk is popular, so why would he be so petty to try and put the screws to him? I just don't see it. I don't believe that Triple H is living his gimmick of the most evil man alive, thanks. Yeah I know. I totally agree I never included "HHH IS HOLDING DOWN PUNK OMGZZZZ!?!??" crap in this thread, please everyone keep it out. That stuff pisses me off OMG FINLAY IS AFRAID TO LOSE HIS SPOT TO PUNK? LOL

That stuff pisses me off OMG FINLAY IS AFRAID TO LOSE HIS SPOT TO PUNK? LOL No not that either, that was never implied or stated, the thing is that he is apparently getting heat from disagreeing with Arn and Finlay on the layout of the EEC match at D2D.

LOL No not that either, that was never implied or stated, the thing is that he is apparently getting heat from disagreeing with Arn and Finlay on the layout of the EEC match at D2D. After how that match turned out ... Well, I can see veterans like Arn and Finlay wanting Punk to shut his damn mouth and know his place. That was the mentality in wrestling back then, and it does have some merit. You don't learn anything if you keep flapping your gums. I don't believe they would look to 'sabotage his career' or some nonesense over it, unless he REALLY rubbed them the wrong way.

It's especially odd given his comments in an interview when he was asked if he worried that they'd treat him like Shannon Moore where he said he'd buy a house and a car or something. Doesn't really sound like the guy who's going to then turn around and get pissed that he's not going over. Although, to be fair, I think if I had to be part of the trainwreck that was D2D, I'd be pissed off at that fact alone.

'What's a straight edge?' Jerry Lawler is an incompetent f***ing moron. Why yes, that was my only contribution to this thread.

Although, to be fair, I think if I had to be part of the trainwreck that was D2D, I'd be pissed off at that fact alone. I think the point is that he's new to the company, and new employees don't complain about anything, let alone the finish or layout of the main event of a PPV they're wrestling on. Now, I don't know what went on, obviously, it's purely speculation on my part. But if Punk, I don't know, said it was a poorly booked PPV and everything, I could see how some would find that cheeky. Even if he's 100% dead right. Sometimes you just have to keep your head down and plug away until you have a position that allows you to contribute ideas. That's like getting an office job and, in the first month, going to the CEO and talking about how that last deal he made was a really bad idea. Some bosses would listen, but most would fire that guy's ass on the spot. That's how the world seems to work - people don't like having their flaws pointed out by a guy they percieve to be far less qualified and experienced than themselves. And as to the fact that Punk has put on great, and sometimes even legendary matches in the indy circuit doesn't really factor into this. WWE isn't about putting on great matches. It's about making money, and (I'm just playing a role here, bear with me), 'who is this small-fry scrub to say anything about how professional wrestling works? He needs to show some respect' and so on. It's just a situation that has been blown out of proportion to get people talking, as is the norm with NEWZ sites. Now I'm going to eat some salad, continue the discussion.

Meltzer confirmed the story. So that automatically makes it so? In the world of wrestling "journalism", Meltzer's as close as you get to "automatic". He has sources THAT deep in some areas. And I don't recall any stories being leaked saying that Punk complained about the ending, just that Arn and Finlay didn't like his work so much, or something like that. Did I miss something?

So that automatically makes it so? No, but he is the most trustworthy person when it comes to insider news. Thought that title belonged to Ryan Clark. Edit: That crowd kicked ass most crowds are relatively dead.

Yes, i think that you did. According to the report that was put out yesterday sometime Punk complained backstage about the 'layout' of the D2D elimination chamber (whatever that means). He did this to Arn Anderson, who apparently took offence and told Punk that he didn't know what he was talking about (we already know after all that Arn is really big on people knowing their place). As such, when it was written that Punk should lose, but only after Holly breaks the anaconder vice and then pins him, it was changed by Finlay to be that Punk lost clean (which as far as i can see if actually Finlay doing Punk a favour as at least it didn't cheapen his finisher).

Yeah that'swhat I read, something like that. Anyway, I have a question, is Ricky Steamboat still an agent in the WWE because I know him and Punk get along really well, and Steamboat has done a lot for Punk's career in terms of helping him lay out matches and stuff.
