WWE sent out the following media alert on Monday in hopes of a clip of the "Rosie" vs. "Trump" match making it on to some news programs: "Hope this finds you well. WWE will finally let 'Rosie' and 'The Donald' duke it out in the ring on tonight’s Monday Night RAW. As these dead 'ringers' for both titans are so close to the real people, please consider the below for a fun on-air newsbit."

With all the crap they pull, I actually got a good laugh out of this. They're getting really sad these days, it's like they're going "hey we did something, please acknowledge us.... we used to be cool"....

No one gave a flying crap about it, most TV and newspaper outlets no-sold the wrestlecrap gooker for 2007, and with good reason.

Honestly, a lot of companies do that in the hopes of getting free publicity. You should see what passes for "News" on TV these days.

I don't know what's more pathetic:
"Hope this finds you well." (I can just hear the puckering of lips being applied to Hollywood arses)
or,
"...please consider the below for a fun on-air newsbit." (AKA "please give us attention, please. Please?"

I saw it live. There was nothing "fun" about it.

I just re-read "Death of WCW". The similarities are staggering.

What makes this doubly pathetic, is that the WWE was getting good publicity this last weekend. Road Warrior Animal's son plays for the Ohio State football team. ESPN college gameday had an entire segment on it featuring father and son in the spiked shoulder pads and all. I dont recall ANY mention of this on WWE programming.
On a similar note, Yokozuna's son also plays college football, although I cant recall where. I wanna say Florida St. or maybe Miami.
