I'm sure you've seen the movie "Celtic Pride," which is about two crazed Celtics fans who kidnap a high-profile NBA star from an opposing team. They do this so that the Celtics could win their playoff series.
Anyway, what if a couple of wrestling fans had this idea in their heads and did this to Cena? WWE should make this part of their storyline.

As rude and horrible as it sounds, I could totally see the E making it into a storyline

Don't think it'd work.
There are too many people out there who wouldn't be able to refrain from murdering the poor bastard simply because they don't understand that he's only doing what his boss is telling him to do.

By WWE logic, Cena could fight his way out of an angry arena, with every man, woman and child gunning for him and him alone.
Mere mortals cannot fathom the power that is Thuganomics.
Unless they're over seven feet, of course.

But if fans pulled a Celtic Pride at the end would realize Cena has the right to compete in the Championship match and at the end win.
