1993 - 1997 was BAD
but at least we got: - Owen/Bret feud - Bret/Austin - The rise of Austin 3:16 - Heel Doink - Heel Lawler - J.R when he was good - Shawn/Bret As bad a 1993 - 1997 was at least it had more enjoyable moments than now (Raw wise, smackdown has been good), IMO anyway

What's so frustrating for me is the potential this current era has. It has the potential to be some of the best stuff on television. In all honesty, I watch RAW and SD and even ECW for the midcard. I literally turn off the tv for the last 5-10 minutes. I can't watch it. It's painful.

The Bret/Diesel/early HBK era was the worst, in terms of global and financial success. They had their share of goofy-ass gimmicks too. Now, you have guys with a lot more talent than some of the people they had then (balanced out, of course, by the big guys with no talent), and the same amount of goofy-ass gimmicks. Only now they're making more money. Funny how that works out.

When I overheard one of the kids @ my job say:
"What's that guy's name........who John Cena always beats....."
I knew then we were in a crap era, LoL!

What really brings me down about this era is how bad the
storylines are (except concerning the divas.)
Just think about all the departures-
Chris Jericho The Rock Christian Kurt Angle Trish Stratus Stacy Keibler
They KNEW the WWE was heading for a huge skid.
They got out @ the right time, LoL!

For RAW, it most certainly is.
SD isn't doing too bad.
ECW is new so can't really count that.

yes indeed it is. I've been watching since the Hogan era, 1985 to be exact and this is the era that finally got me to give up on the E.

Honestly ever since WCW went under, nothing has been the same.

I vote for current WWE because I hate seeing the same 5 or 6 guys 10 times in a 2 hour show (to be fair, I am talking about Raw because I gave up on ECW after about the 5th week, and don't see SmackDown anymore because it is on Friday). It seems only two people have been in the main event with John Cena and Edge (Umaga doesn't seem main event to me) and these days, I don't care to see the same thing over and over and over and over.
To be fair, I was a young lad during the Bret Hart era and was a HUGE Bret mark until he was forced into retirement.
The HHH era was below par at best, but I still watched and SD was on Thursdays
