It looked pretty brutal, like he might've actually lost a tooth.

Yeah, I think that was legit. They wouldn't have ended a match on an elbow otherwise.

I'm pretty sure it was legit.
Unlike the "AH MAH GAHD! THEY FELL OFF THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! END THE MATCH!" finish from later.

I think every other RVD dive in history screwed up the end of the Lashley match.
Seriously, can you recall an RVD dive to the outside that looked less painful than that one?

Yep, it was real. No news from WWE about what has actually happened, though.

Yeah, red looked reluctant to throw up the "X". He did it like right away after the RVD/Lashley spot.

the thing with something like that is, you need wrestlers on the writing staff to fix these types of things.
For example, you dont want two table finishes in a row, or two chokeslam finishes in a row. Why would you want two injury finishes? A group of writers that have a wrestling background (think, oldschool bookers) would change the finish of the next match to make things look better. Thinking on your feet is so important in this business, however, we cant expect this type of thing from WWE creative.

Would people have complained about the Lashley/RVD match if it ended in a plain old double countout?
That isn't hypothetical, I was actually wondering.
Also. Armstrong's "That was on the button" comment during the replay made me laugh.

Armstrong's "That was on the button" comment during the replay made me laugh. No matter what happened at the end of that match, people would've complained. Even if RVD had beaten Lashley cleanly and won the belt and then said "everyone watching this in the arena and at home gets a free puppy." People would've said something like "i hate dogs." No one is ever satisfied with anything.

I'd just like to say that a good elbow attack is a legitimate finisher in my eyes.

Becuase it may not be fancy, but you throw an elbow, and you can just knock someone the hell out. Sometimes, a move that would really, really hurt in a fight is better than a flashy finisher.

I wonder if they will incorporate a finisher elbow strike for Thorn now.
Most likely not...

I wonder if they will incorporate a finisher elbow strike for Thorn now. Most likely not... I still say he should be using that elevated Stunner instead of the Crucifix Bomb anyway. after he used it that first time and the pop it got, his opponent (i forget who it was right now) should have been smart enough to go "no, pin me now dumb ass, that was awesome"

Too bad Mr. "Thorn" likes his Crucifix Bomb finisher. Although there is some irony with a Vampire having a finisher with the word crucifix in it.
