Maybe I am the only one here who feels like this--I dunno. But I personally don't feel very good or approve of the WWE making Eugene a heel in his current state.

I wasn't too sure about Eugene when he first appeared as it was but they seemed to do it somewhat tastefully at first and I thought maybe I had been worried for nothing--but then they started making him nothing more than a joke--instead of the Forrest Gump type character he was at first he's just a cruel mockery of mentally handicapped people.

And NOW they have gone and made him a heel. I didn't feel good about the mockery of the mentally handicapped and I feel even less good about having a "mentally handicapped person" so to speak be a bad guy.

I don't mind if they want to try and have Eugene be a heel but I think they should at least have him drop the "mentally handicapped" gimmick in order to do so.

The best way that the WWE could have saved the Eugene angle and still turned him heel would have been to have had him reveal he was lying about being 'special' all along

And I agree with rmod in the original post. Turning him heel while he's still playing a mentally retarded person is kinda bad and wrong. Not that they handled him well when he was a face (turning him into everyone's whipping boy, steering him away from 'wrestling savant' into 'stealing old finishers', etc.) but it's just wrong.

Don't worry after the Eugene heel turn, creative ran out of ideas. He's pretty much relegated to Heat at this point, so no one has to see it.

I think that the whole thing about him pretending to be retarded thing could work, but there would be one fundamental continuity problem with it. He was supposed to be Bischoff's nephew, and Bischoff has known him his whole life theoretically. If Eugene was not really retarded, this would imply that both Eugene and Bischoff were in on the con.

You know what, I'm gonna stop talking right now because WWE has never given a shit about continuity before... why start now. I like the idea of him coming out and saying it was a ruse.

Actually, you could bring Eric in on it and maintain continuity - just have him reveal that Eugene has been his 'Trojan Horse' all along, and the retarded act has all been part of Bischoff's sinister plan to take over the WWE from within.

Not that they'd do this, however, as Vince has shown many times in the past that he has no idea how to do a good Bischoff angle.
