Raw this week drew a 3.9 rating (gerweck.net) which is Raw's highest weekly rating since the end of August.
If not for the competition with the college bowl game, would have been a lot higher I'm sure.
Next monday the rating will stink due to the Ohio State National Championship win, but after that I could see the ratings really surging.
So all in all, great news for the E

Plus it was New Years Day, that may have effected it.

They haven't hit a 4 since August. Wow thats bad. Even with the 3 million new viewers they couldn't get a 4.

Being happy for the company's ratings for a show where Kevin Federline pinned the world champion isn't necessarily the best way of looking at things.
I keep rooting for the ratings to fall so that SOMEONE in the company gets a damn clue, but the core fanbase will simply watch ANYTHING the WWE puts out there. It's been around 3.5 since 2002.

I keep hoping for the ratings to start bombing like they were a few months back for a short time, so something might start changing.
But, they won't. People will watch that show no matter what they are given. Nothing is going to change.

Actually last years average rating was the highest since 2002....Thats saying something.
For me personally the reason I like watching raw more now then the last few year's is the development of new young stars or the comeback of young stars such as Nitro and Jeff Hardy. Couple that with the new boom in tag teams and the enjoyment I get out of DX, and you have my reasoning for enjoying Raw more now then in years.
I guess since the ratings have risen on average to its highest point in 5 years, I speak for other people as well.

I would say maybe some of it has to do with K-Fed being there, but that's not why I watch, I watch for the previously stated reasons (tag division reset, focus on the younger talent, and DX)

Plus it was New Years Day, that may have effected it. So WWE fans watch their programs on holidays but TNA fans don't? Cuz that seems to be my understanding after reading several threads around here lol

The only reason the ratings hit that high was thew F-Fed pubilicity stunt. Next week they'll be back down the previous average, or lower, if regular fans are turned off by it. I only ever flick on Raw if there's a WGTT segment, Hardyz or MNM segment, or if there was some good match. I only watch it on the Friday re-run though, so I can miss it if it's crap, watch if good. But generally I prefer Smackdown.

This week on Raw I bet JR will be thanking us for tuning in last week, boasting that Raw had its highest rating in 5 months
