It's not even over. It's not even over, but so far, I've seen great matches between Kane & Chavo Guerrero, Paul London & Brian Kendrick, King Booker & Gregory Helms, and Jimmy Wang Yang & Tatanka. All of those wrestlers put on great matches, I'm so excited to watch Smackdown next week to see more of these Beat The Clock matches.

I concur, tonight's show was better than Raw/WWECW easily and it's not even over yet.
One thing usually remains consistent is SD pulls off great matches and less crap.

Yep, even though I've only really caught the past 20 minutes, it looks like a great all around show.

It was so good that it caused a thread boom, which I have never seen for a SD thread

I seem to remember the one over Thanksgiving being awesome as well. I don't think that's a good long time.

Kane/Chavo surprised me....GREAT match and a lot of back-and-forth action by both. Other than that, it seemed average with a stipulation for the most part.
Two things bugged me...the diva match and Maryse being the first person to see after a few commercial breaks.

^Maryse in a tub was so random.
But yeah, really good Smackdown tonight. I enjoyed every segment.

The title of this thread is what I was thinking all night. The only topper would have been for the Boogeyman to come out and eat MVP's "burn scars." So you saw Spanky's haircut? Yes. I saw it. It looks better short I think. Spanky and London should keep their hair short to avoid the worm bits that Boogeyman is going to get in their locks--if Greg Helms is swallowing worms and Boogey saliva, I expect every cruiser to be doing the same soon. But London is freaking me out with the super-long hair--he is starting to remind me of Jennifer Connelly, who is actually pretty hot, except for the fact that she is starting to make me think of Paul London. Two things bugged me...the diva match and Maryse being the first person to see after a few commercial breaks. I skipped most of the diva match. The only thing that really bugged me is that this show was a walking advertisement for why wrestlers need to wear wrestling gear. London and Kendrick in their pleather skirts looked like something out of Cirque du Soleil, especially since this was more of a mat match than a high flying one (a flippy match in the pleather skirts might have had a nice Crouching Tiger, Hidden Corkscrew feel to it). And Jimmy Wang Yang was killing me between flashing a plumber's crack at us (they're Levi's, get one size smaller for corn's sake) and actually losing the chaps for most of the match--I was hoping Tatanka would do something heelish with the damn things and get disqualified.

Yeah, even though I pretty much knew it was gonna be Kennedy from the very start, I too enjoyed Smackdown. I wish WWE would give us more matches that we're not used to seeing. Having Booker T wrestle Helmes was great! It was something fresh and different.
Now, if I may, I'd like to make a little prediction for next week. Now that Kennedy has won the first round of the Smackdown Sprint, I predict that his time will get beat in the very first match the following week. Then, after complaining to Teddy Long, he'll be given a second chance to beat the new time by facing some ridiculously tough opponent; probably the Undertaker. Kennedy wins again and takes his opportunity to face Batista at the Royal Rumble.

We won't get a match longer than 5:07 next week.

i don't think so... i hope not. that would be lazy booking.
they should build the suspense for whoever the lead babyface is, and make it seem as if he has a chance to beat kennedy's time... and have kennedy screw him out of it.

Kendrick's haircut makes him look like Jack Evans when you're just glancing.
Awesome show, too.

We won't get a match longer than 5:07 next week. And that is what sucks. I wish they'd just start the time over next week and the person with the shortest time faces Kennedy in a match the week after that on Smackdown.. that way the matches can be given time like they were this week. The only other person that really has a shot at this thing besides Kennedy is The Undertaker.. and I figured they were saving that for Wrestlemania.

So, Kendrick is going heel, right?
Cutting off the locks means a heel turn in my book. They did it for Test and Christian.
