Yes, next week's main event on the ECW TV Show! www.wwe.com/shows/ecw/shows1/ecwonscifi/preview/3689034/From ecw.com ******************* Preview: New year for the new breed January 9, 2007 In a momentus kick-off to another extreme year, ECW World Champion Lashley and Rob Van Dam met in an exhaustive, yet indecisive encounter on ECW on Sci Fi. As Lashley and RVD fervently sought to retain and reclaim the gold respectively, a high-risk manuever from Van Dam drove both men crashing hard to the arena floor, forcing the referee to stop the match. Will these Extremists finish what they started this week on next week's edition of ECW on Sci Fi? Is this just the start of a brand-new, highly competitive rivalry for 2007? Next week on ECW on Sci Fi, ECW fans will see a heated collision between CM Punk and Hardcore Holly. For weeks, the issue between Holly and the straightedge has escalated - from a tap-out challenge to an attack from behind by the Alabaman Extremist. Neither man has been able to score a clean victory over the other in singles action. Can CM Punk make Holly tap to the Anaconda Vise? More importantly, can either of these combatants leave this match intact next week? Also, a recovering Tommy Dreamer spoke out on ECW on Sci Fi following the ghastly attack by The Great Khali weeks ago. After nearly being crippled by the Punjabi monster, Dreamer proclaimed that he would be back. When will we see the ECW Original back in an ECW arena? Will the menace of Khali and Daivari continue? If so, who is the next body to fall in their path? Find out next week as ECW comes to you live at 10/9 CT only on Sci Fi.

So he stopped the match because they fell on the floor.
Meanwhile on Raw, Ric Flair gets superplexed off a ladder through a table. The match continues for another ten minutes.

What happened to Kevin Thorne? He has a great character and isn't bad in the ring. And he's tall. Isn't that good enough?

I really think if they push him properly he can be the next Undertaker, so to say in the sense that he's large, evil but can move. Punk vs Thorn was a great match, short though but it's the kind of stuff ECW should make. Or hell, give me Punk vs Burke.

Thorn actually has a lot of fans, I kind of wish JBL was on ECW to talk about Thorn since Taz is a dumbass who tries to get hot chicks over, thank god Tazz is leaving btw, but I don't see Ariel getting an ybigger reactions than Thorne does.

The main event will be an interview segment with RVD/Lashley giving each other props on the match, then Test comes out and attacks both men leading to a 3-way at the Rumble.

The fact remains that almost everyone in this board agree that the new ECW is infact Extremely Crappy Wrestling, as Lawler used to say some years back when ECW was actually good. Maybe Lawler predicted the future of ECW in its present day. He shoots straight in your face to make you humble!

When did WWE decide that they could change the spelling of "vice"?

When they realized that "vice" is the opposite of virtue, whereas "vise" is a type of clamp. "Vice," however, is the correct British English spelling, as opposed to the North American English spelling. So they are splitting hairs, but maybe they think "vise" (pronounced "vize") sounds more badass than vice. Or they think that the dual-meaning "vice" and the irony contained therein via its association with a self-righteous and "virtuous" straightedge extremist is beyond the scope of the typical fan's cognitive capacity.
In conclusion, no one cares, ECW sucks, let's worry about getting Punk onto one of the two other shows, and focus back on the main issue that if Bob Holly is main eventing any WWE show that is not solely on the internet, then there is a major problem.

Punk should be a mystery entrant in the Smackdown Sprint.

Am I the only one that, upon hearing WWE.com refer to Sparky as "the Alabama Extremist", got sevely creeped out, in a Deliverance sort of way?
