I just watched the London/Kendrick match on SmackDown, and my god. Pinning combo after pinning combo after pinning combo, it was fantastic. They should seriously put more spotlight on the cruiserweight division and give us a couple matches like this every week.

The crowd wasn't very receptive of it though. So that probably won't happen.

Yeah, I just watched it, actually.
I dug the psychology; here you have two friends and partners, so, clearly, despite the clock being against them, they don't want to unload their full arsenal on each other and risk hurting their buddy, so they try to get the quick pin victory, instead.

I'm suprised by how bored the crowd seemed, they were even booing in parts of the match.

JBL put it best when he was doing the commentary. It was a chess match. Unlike Kane and Chavo Guerrero, London and Kendrick had to find someway to beat basically the person they know the best, and who knows them the best. So Kane and Chavo Guerrero needed to set a good time, but didn't have to worry about not making time. And London and Kendrick weren't able to get some insane or hard hitting offense on each other, because the fact was, they had to beat Kane's mark. So they tried to keep their opponent on the mat as much as possible, and tried to go for as many pinfalls as possible.
Tremendous match. I would have loved for it to be longer, and I think the way they were wrestling, they wrestled like a ROH match where it's paced out very slow in the beginning. But again, they just wanted to keep their opponent on the mat to beat them as soon as possible.
I think this Beat The Clock Sprint is one of the best ideas to come to Smackdown in a good while, because a lot of wrestlers are giving a good chance to show what they can do in a decent amount of time.

Good match, though as others said the crowd could've gave two craps about it.
From the back, at parts during the match Kendrick resembled Jack Evans a little bit to me.

WWE marks don't know what's good. They're impatient and want the flashy stuff right off the bat. They suck.

I had higher hopes for the match honestly, though it was still really good. But yeah, that crowd was darn near asleep.

I hate the crowd. We should do something about it... *presses mute* much better

And unfortunately, WWE will use the crowd's reaction to judge how they should use Londrick. So if they get stuck with a dumb gimmick soon, blame this darn crowd.

It wasn't that great. I felt that the match had terrible psychology. When you're trying to beat the clock you don't wrestle a slow match. That's just my opinion though. I much preferred the Chavo/Kane match.

The crowd was silent a lot of the time, but as well, sometimes at the start of ROH matches, the crowd isn't really active, with the random dueling chant here and there, and the crowd isn't used to that. Plus, the ROH wrestlers have 20-25 minutes to build a match. London and Kendrick only got about 8 minutes. It looked like an ROH match, and it looked like they were gonna wrestle a good long time, so I felt that hurt it with the crowd.

I just take them not reacting to them being, frankly, a SmackDown audience. If it ain't Batista, Rey, or maybe Booker, don't count on getting a reaction. I'd put Benoit in the "gets a reaction" category, but I've seen them sit and ignore his stuff too.
EDIT: And Taker. Would call him a special occasion, but lately the special occasion is whenever Teddy Long forgets his lines and has to improvise.

I much preferred the Chavo/Kane match. But...it wasn't. The whole point of the match was that they were going for quick pins/pinning combinations (i.e. London flipping in and trying to trap Spanky with a La Magistral cradle). Even when Kendrick would put on a headlock, it was in an attempt to put London's shoulders to the mat. Again, the point was that, as friends who know each other incredibly well, both men knew they'd accomplish nothing by throwing all their big moves at each other. Really, this match was a textbook "solid" match. It wasn't meant to be anything huge, nothing show stealing, but both men looked good, and the story told was a pretty good one.

I understood this explanation, but I just didn't take it that way...and they really didn't accomplish anything with those pin combos did they? This match would have been great had it of been give 20 more minutes and not been about beating the clock.

They need to go through with splitting them up, get the title the f*** off of Helms, and have them feud. Throw in Noble too, since he does nothing but sit around all the time.
