I think most of us could agree the InVasion was probably the worst storyline in the history of WWF/E and probably in all of Wrestling, not because of anything in particular, just because of the amount of potential money that was flushed down the toilet.
But I was thinking about it yesterday, about the amount of times people have tried to make a better InVasion, the suggestions, the polls etc, but what if the InVasion was a success? What would the effect be on Pro Wrestling? Would it be as popular is now? Would it be even more popular? Would there be a WCW brand?
The only thing I'd think is that the scope of the WWF would have certainly been different by the time it changed to E in 2002. If the WWE went with that they did now and had Goldberg come in by 2003, he could be fueding with guys like Tazz and Booker and such. Not saying it would happen, but we'd certainly have a bigger roster with more potential.

I think there would be more core wrestling fans. I personally know some guys who were hardcore WCW fans, who honestly never really got into WWF/E, even during the Attitude era. These were guys who were watching WCW right up until the end. When WCW got bought and Nitro had ended, they did start watching Raw for a while since it was the only show that was on and plus they wanted to see what was happening with WCW. Once the Invasion came and went and WCW became history, these guys basically gave up on wrestling. These are guys who just never liked the McMahon spin on things I guess.
Truthfully, some of my friends like this have actually started watching wrestling again -- but TNA. This is primarily due to Sting and some of the WCW icons joining, which are the only wrestlers they feel that they care about.

We'd have WWE and WCW instead of Raw and Smackdown!, and we'd still have Superbrawl, Sin, Greed, Starrcade, Halloween Havoc, and Bash At the Beach.

Those (in my opinion) are bad names. Uncensored was just fine as a name...then again Souled Out was a dumb name so I guess Sin can stay. I dunno, for some reason 1-syllable PPV names don't seem to work very well to me.

The invasion wasnt a bad angle at all. It just wasnt what WWE vs. WCW could be, if it was just "The Alliance" vs. WWE without the WCW/ECW names it would have been a really good angle

If it would have spawned a WCW vs WWF video game, it would have been the greatest thing ever.

Yeah, that's the main gripe there.
