First thing I gotta say to the WWE guys. No sh** Sherlock?
Second: I love Lashley. But no f***ing way I will buy him as a ECW Champion, and you wanna know why? The guy comes out of nowhere, wins the title, in like, his third match in the brand. It makes the brand look so pathetic gah...
...And he have a pretty generic character. WWE should give him an elaborated gimmick, maybe some costumes, and let the boy wrestle. That´s all.

Lashley has the "it" factor.
he has intensity,he is great with fans and has charisma, talent and he can wrestle,he is strong as hell kiked ass on the big show in an elimination chamber match and not a scratch on him after it? not many guys can pull that sort of thing off.
whether or not a guy has a generic character or an elaborate one with costumes like cena wears....ie' chain gang soldier/duh marine/rapper/prototype/or whatever, etc. or if he can wrestle don't mean nothin if he doesn't emotionally connect with people watchin him.

What expectations did the WWE have for Lashley anyway?
He is generic, overmuscled, crap on the mic and cannot wrestle.
Is it a surprise that he's useless, other than for some power moves?

He shouldn't cut promos end of story. Just have him be a silent dude who does his talking in the ring.

Exactly, if used right he could be a total package. Problem is, Vince sees him as the Next Big Thing and pushes far too hard and far too early.

I can see him improving with time but he does need quite alot of it as promo's go. Which may hold against him in WWE land, as if it ain't right first time around scrap it & try somebody else.
