Maybe this is the "pre-toxicology" lull.

I Bet that if steroids weren't in his system the psedo-journalists won't cover it.

Of course the media would not cover this if steroids were not involved, it wouldn't make them any money. I read an article that was written by Rick Collins on another site, which debunked the whole "roid rage" theory.

About Chris Benoit's doctor, it is believed that he's linked to other professional athletes, including wrestlers: www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/news/headlines/default.asp?aID=20073"The Fox affiliate in Atlanta today reported that federal investigators have in their possession medical records pf pro wrestlers under the care of Dr. Phil Astin III. They seized records in particular of pro wrestlers who had autographed photos on the walls of his office. It was well known in the Atlanta sports community that Astin was the doctor to several pro and college athletes, hardly limited to wrestling, and had been well known in the WCW days." If other names come out, is the WWE basically screwed?

If other names come out, is the WWE basically screwed? I don't think so. The WWE isn't buying them and giving them to wrestlers. They have a Wellness Policy, no matter how loose or strict.

Rey (Oscar Guiterrez) might be one and Mark Jindrak might be the other. Supposedly, anyway.

Rey (Oscar Guiterrez) might be one and Mark Jindrak might be the other. Supposedly, anyway. Both former WCW guys who logically would have contacts in the Atlanta area. Makes sense to me.

It would surprise me if Rey was juicing. Like I said in the previous thread, "People forget that even the WWE's 'little guys' tend to be 6'2", 225 of solid muscle." While Rey's not THAT big, it would surprise me now less than it probably should.

Roddy Piper comments on Benoit tragedy Saturday, June 30th, 2007 The Pain Clinic pro wrestling talk show Hot Talk 1280 WHTK-AM (Rochester, New York) Listen to the full interview and show now at www.feelthepain.netOn Saturday morning, June 30th, WWE Hall of Famer ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper was on The Pain Clinic pro wrestling talk show with The Cashman, Dr. Love, The Artiste, and Danger Boy. Piper talked about the Benoit family tragedy, an upcoming appearance for charity in Rochester, his current stint in the WWE, winning the Tag Team Championship last fall with Ric Flair, his cancer diagnosis, and much more. “Hot Rod” detailed the story of winning the Tag Team Championship at WWE Cyber Sunday 2006 with Ric Flair and explains how the fans voting for him to be Flair’s partner that night was a ‘blessing in disguise’ as he never would have had to go to the hospital (disc problems) where they ended up finding the lymphoma in his stomach. In the interview, Roddy Piper gave The Pain Clinic his first comments on the Benoit family tragedy. He talked about having dinner with Benoit over the years, including after Eddie Guerrero’s funeral. Roddy said he “should have had the damn dinner” in response to Benoit recently asking Piper to go to dinner with him to talk. Piper says he will attend Chris Benoit’s funeral, which will be his first funeral since Adrian Adonis’ because he “can’t handle them.” Piper calls Chris Benoit his “brother” and says he will stay on Benoit’s “side until the very end.” Piper said “I stand behind Chris Benoit a hundred percent, I’ll be at his funeral, and we’ll wait and see what comes back (from the toxicology reports).” To hear the rest of Piper’s comments on Benoit, check out the official website of The Pain Clinic at www.feelthepain.net and download the podcast version of the show. The “Hot Rod” will be in Rochester, NY on Saturday, July 14th for “Talkin' Sports with Rowdy Roddy Piper,” a fundraising dinner for the Camp Good Days and Special Times, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, adults and families whose lives have been touched by cancer and other life-threatening challenges. For more information on the dinner and to buy tickets, please visit campgooddays.org -Rob “The Artiste” Sanderson very good interview and seemed to have come from the heart

The thing the media dosen't understand about the steroids is that everyone thinks that determing that steroids are in his system means that he's now at risk for suffering the effects of steroids. The thing is, is that the roid rage, not depression, is the risk factor for being ON them. The depression however, is mostly at risk if he's OFF them, not when he's on.

It is also very possible that Chris Benoit was living with depression of one kind of another before he started taking roids
