So, technically, if we ignore possible glitches in the rating system, Smackdown got more viewers than Raw? How often has that happened?

I always assumed since Smackdown always got 2's it was just seen as the perma-inferior show.

It's one of the highest rated shows on The CW, even compared to the big guns like Smallville and America's Next Top Model. And I know for a fact it was kicking the hell out of 7th Heaven.

It was a decent show, but Raw and ECW have been better.
If Matt Hardy gets injured, they are royally screwed.

I think that SD actually routinely has more viewers than Raw, but that does not matter to the McMahon's for some damn reason. And SD would be screwed if either Hardy of MVP went down right now.

This is true. Raw pretty much always has a lower amount of viewers. Smackdown has a lower "rating" because there are WAY more people watching network tv, so the network rating scale is different to reflect that. Raw performs exceptionally well for a cable show, Smackdown performs not nearly as well (though pretty good for a Friday night show on one of the lower-tier networks).

The usual I guess. With the ratings drop in general with WWE programming (though I'd be interested to see the actual numbers for Raw), Smackdown still says the same.
I'm surprised Smackdown isn't treated as the flagship show.

Smackdown should be the flagship show. Even though we live in 2007, not everyone has cable or satellite. Hell, I know a few people who don't. But everyone who has a TV should have the CW (I was about to type UPN which shows you how often I watch the CW). But, then again, they tape Smackdown on Tuesdays so everyone will know what happened at least three days before it airs. I wonder if the ratings would improve on SD if they aired it live like they did a few times in the past.

Raw probably rakes in better advertising revenue due to it being the highest/among the highest rated cable shows each week. Which would mean it makes them more money, and thus it is more "important".

Seriously, there is no reason to be mad at someone who's doing GOOD for your company. Oh wait he's not a McMahon ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Their feud is really the only reason I'm still watching on Fridays. Yeah, it is basically the only reason I watch anymore as well. It's also my main concern about the brands being reunited. I know they're both good but i can't shake the feeling that if that happened MVP and Matt Hardy would both be lost in the shuffle.
