Being suspended without being on the air or wrestling on the WWE for free? I'd say the latter since wrestlers make a living off wrestling.

I'd rather wrestle for free, especially if I'm in the middle of a push or something.

If I was a midcarder or a main eventer I'd prefer to work without pay as I wouldn't lose television time.

Being suspended from a 20th-storey balcony by your ankles until you sign over your royalties to Suge Knight.

If you work for free, you could still possibly be selling merch, when you're off of tv, you're merch sales would go down, I'd assume.

Depends on my suspension. If i'm Super Crazy, I'm hardly getting TV time as it is so i'll take the 30 days at home. If I'm involved in a feud or push, then i'll work for free.

Then neither of those are really punishments.
Stay at home = Hey look, I great a free vacation. Work for free = Hey look, I'm still getting over with fans.
I would chose the latter option since it could lead to a larger payday in the near-future.
Edit: If I was injured, I would stay home and take a rest.

I'd rather work for free just so that my name remains out there. Going home for a month runs the risk of the fans starting to forget

I dont think the 'work for free' option should be allowed for in ring performers. I think they could have used it for Regal, cos he hardly appears and thus working free doesnt lead him to anything push wise, he just stays doing ten minute bits as GM.
If you had say, Umaga, still dominating when he's meant to be suspended, ok he isnt getting paid, but it's hardly a punishment when he knows a big pay is just round the corner cos his push is continuing

Being suspended over a tank of Sharks (with Lazer Beams attached to their friggin Foreheads) would be the Worst.
That, or the On Air Kiss My Ass segments where you kiss it then are still fired.
