I've been thinking about it, and from a promotional point-of-view, bringing in the New Hart Foundation this was actually makes more sense... the fans generally don't need too much of a reason to pop for Jericho, and he's got the recognition that they'd be a little silly not to advertise his return. He could boost a buyrate with an announcement of a comeback. He doesnt' actually NEED this campaign.

The NHF, on the other hand, could benefit from the rub that these vignettes are going to give to whoever comes in - they could play it off as having fooled everyone into thinking it was HBK/Jericho/whoever, when in fact the people the vignettes were alluding to were actually their targets.

I'm loving the build-up of this but I think the Y2J links may end up being a swerve and it will be someone else returning/debuting maybe the New Hart Foundation.

I hope it's Y2J as well I just think that with most fans online sure it's him and they've figured it out they may pull a swerve. They already know that when Jericho comes back he'll over enough without this.

I don't know what all this means yet, but I'm loving it! I hope they drag it out a little longer than this Sunday. After a hard year, this is just what everyone needed; something fun that we're all really actually looking forward to the payoff. Ok I checked the messages in the Save_us.222 Video:

CHAMP_HARD -- Chris Jericho is a former WWF Hardcore Champion.

SMACK_BROUGHT1 -- This one is a little shaky, but Jericho interviewed the first person brought over from SmackDown in the 2005 Draft Lottery, that being John Cena.

RAW_LOWER_DISP -- I had to think about this one, but whenever Jericho brought out the Highlight Reel, a Highlight Reel logo was displayed in the lower left hand corner of the screen during Raw.

RAW_WAR_BUMPER -- Again, this one is a little hard to explain. Though Jericho did often rearrange the old "Raw is War" slogan to Raw Is Jericho.

WM00_MATCH -- Jericho wrestled Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 2000. Jericho also won the European Championship in this Match.

LIVEWIRE -- Although I originally thought this had something to do with the old WWF show Livewire, further research tells me that on Fozzy's self-titled debut album, they covered Motley Crew's track Live Wire.

r/shara/catman/a_man/cat1/ - A lot of this means nothing to me but "catman" is interesting as Jericho used to wrestle under the name Lionheart. Lions are cats, if you didn't know.

SUMMER_PROM -- This could mean anything but several promos aired in the summer of 99 hyping Jericho's debut.

RAW_REV_MAY2.action -- Looking through some archives, Jericho won the Intercontinental Championship on May 2nd in 2000. However, this was at a SmackDown taping. The only other possible link to May 2nd is that it is The Rock's birthday; Jericho debuted interrupting The Rock.

WM99_MATCH -- The main event of this show was The Rock vs. Steve Austin... the two men Jericho beat in one night to become Undisputed Champion.

WM99_PROMO_TAG TEAM - One of the promos shown to hype Y2J's signing with WWF was shown at WrestleMania 15 (1999) right before a Tag Team Match started.

7OCT - The next WWE PayPerView "No Mercy" takes places on October 7th.

cd_volume4_1.act - If you look at the CD "WWF The Themes Vol. 4", Track one is Break The Walls Down, Jericho's Entrance Theme.

925 - These numbers are shown in the middle of the video. If you type them into your mobile phone you get Y2J.

The sound in the background 1 - If you listen close enough you'll hear something very similar to Jericho's Entrance Theme

The Sound in the background 2 - You can hear "I'M BAAAACK" somewhere in the middle of the video, the voice is similar to Y2J's

The Sound in the background 3 - If you reverse the audio and listen to it backwards you can hear "Y... 2..."

SAVE_US.222 Take One - You can see this code several times. SAVE_US could be related to a catchphrase Jericho used in his first Promo in WWF "Y2J has come to save the WWF".

SAVE_US.222 Take Two - 222 could be related to a verse from the Bible: Joshua 2:2 verse 2 It was told the king of Jericho, saying, "Behold, men from the sons of Israel have come here tonight to search out the land."

RAW_NEW2.comp - Jericho in 2005 entered the first Elimination Chamber Match at NEW Year's Revolution as the 2nd person.

C'mon, that's at least as concrete as some of these things... the voice is similar to Y2J played backwards through a sinewave generator? Jericho is in a microdot on that screen, and when you enlarge it by 64X and scan the whole thing you can see him vaguely?

Just something worth keeping an eye on, wrestlezone.com is reporting that Jericho will not be at No Mercy this Sunday. They want to build up a return for a longer time.

That's good news this is shaping up really well so far it would ruin it to reveal the outcome so early into it. We should maybe just be given another clue at No Mercy.

The latest promo did have Grand Slam written in it...Jericho Edge and HBK all fit that

Ughh, if it's Edge I'll be pissed. And not "hey, he's getting a heel reaction so it's worked" pissed, more angry at the writing team for this swerve. Seriously, I've probably got my hopes up too much but anything other than Jericho will be a letdown for me now.

That was never officially stated, although done in a way you would think it was Thrasher.

Of course, we now all know it was originally supposed to be Tom Green. Hopefully Save-Us isn't for someone who isn't even signed yet, only for it to be hotshotted to someone else at the last minute.

If that happens this is the Gooker. I hope they've learnt from that debacle with G-TV but you never know...

Nice sleuthing but I still am not sure. I pray Jericho is involved, and not just as a reference but as a return.

It's definitely something geared towards the 'net crowd, the only fans obsessive enough to even notice, but it'll have to be something they can easily and sensibly relate to the casual fan too.

That Hart Foundation thing would make sense, with them returning to get revenge for Bret. In fact, since SS was meant to be at Montreal, I could see this being how it's all been intended to play out. I hope not though. Dammit, I know it's wrong of me and I know I've let myself be gullible but, I want Y2J.


If it's a swerve and doesn't involve Jericho I'll be sad. If it doesn't involve HBK either then I just hpe it's a new guy/stable, or it'll be pretty grim in my view. I won't stop watching as I'm not really watching much anyway, only the odd SD, but I won't be enticed back that's for sure.

If this thing is HBK, I'd be down. I'd prefer Jericho, but Michaels would be more than acceptable.
