"Well if it isn't Finlay, The tough Irish bastard!" "Vincent Kennedy McMahon!" ***genuine handshake*** There is a mutual respect here. Fit Finlay is a legend in the wrestling business. Tough as nails and technically sound. He's not gonna lay down. I remember vividly seeing The Belfast Bruiser debut on WCW Saturday Night and looking forward to great things from him. Finlay does not disappoint. He was great then and he's great now. Give this hard worker a title shot and let him reign! I want to see Fit Finlay carry the old WCW belt with dignity. Who is more deserving of a WHC run? Seriously! Share your favorite Finlay moments with your peers... NOTE: Finlay love only please. Don't be a dick.

I think Finlay's great but not really charismatic enough to hold the WHC. It's a shame that his midget friend always got more of a pop than he did.

Yeah Finlay is great and is suprisingly charasmatic and as of right now is the best technical wrestler in the WWE today. I'd love to see Finlay get a run with the World Title but sadly that wont happen. Also if he didn't get badly hurt in WCW he might of been the greatest European wrestler ever, yes greater than Davey Boy.

I LOVE Finlay.
And KoW, you must mean the greatest European wrestler that competed in WWE that Americans know. No way is Davey Boy anywhere near the greatest European wrestler ever.

Finlay kicks ass, and he's over...partly with his tweener persona, but as well because of the midget. But he's over.
He would work well, if WWE books right instead of simply jobbing him out at PPVs in feuds that don't make sense*, as both heel and face.
Hell, he's the sort that an audience would quickly switch over to whatever his persona is at the moment. If he does a program with MVP over the United States belt, he becomes face by default.
*=why again is the Mick fighting Mysterio?

It would be cool to see him with some kinda belt. I don't think HE'D really want it though. Seems like the kinda dude that knows his place and is probably enthusiastic about helping out the younger guys.

I guess I'd put Dynamite Kid as the best ever. Though in the future I could see Claudio, Nigel and Burchill will be proclaimed as the best wrestler to come from Europe. If none make it to TNA or WWE that will be a total shame.

You know what's odd? I was just about to make a Push Finlay thread right after my first class but it seems you sorta got my idea and all.
At any rate, Finlay is my absolute favorite wrestler in WWE curent wrestler and I still call myself Wrestlecrap's numero uno Finlay mark! This man is badass in his own rights and one of the few wrestlers to ever show no fear against intmidating monsters. His promo when he faced Undertaker and mentioned that "he doesn't fear death. All he sees is a man and he's going to fight."
Finlay is the main man and he definetely deserves a WHC run. He could totally pull it off against Batista. They've been known to have great matches anyhoo.
Push FINLAY!

Finlay is one of my favorites. Possibly my favorite currently active wrestler.

He was in all the number 1 contender 3- and 4-way matches for a while when he was hanging out with Booker.

i just saw him this past weekend at a house show and the way he had the crowd eating outta his hands when he was messing with them. Freaking awesome. I don't see why he couldn't have a real feud with Roidtista and carry the belt for a couple of months. Hell i would love to see him in ECW and show them what hardcore is!

Finlay is one of the main reasons not to give up on Smackdown just yet.

Finlay rules. How can you not love the legitimately tough as nails fightin' Euro bastard who made their way clawing up from a circus background type? Might as well hate newbrn puppies.

Finlay to me, was the 2006 M.V.P. of SD.
He made Lashely, Batista, and pretty much everybody look
GREAT on SD. He's one of the few guys I can watch wrestle
and not change the channel out boredom.

I think it's too bad creative didn't try to let him get over as a hard-nosed brawler who just beats the crap out of people. I think that's a perfectly OK gimmick and it suits old Fit just fine.
I wasn't real happy with the shillelagh, and I can't stand the midget deal. I don't understand what his appeal is supposed to be now: a mean brawler heel who can beat the crap out of people with his own two hands, but also has an illegal weapon, and also has a leprechaun buddy that kids love?
Since this is an appreciation thread, I will say even though I don't think he'd make a good world champ, ole Fit still deserves better than what he has.
