I find it funny that sci-fi doesn't like this rating. Most cable companies would love this rating for a C show

I honestly don't think it's going to improve again.

WWE have had their chance with ECW. When it was first launched, it was getting nearly 3.0 and had they kept the fan's interest, they would still be getting close to that (or more).
Everyone was expecting it to be like the 'old' ECW, and when they saw it was the total opposite, they just didn't bother anymore.

Also, didn't really help that the brand is treated as being third-rate and nothing more.

I think they don't like this ratings because it's not good for an original programming. Also they might think that ECW is crap now because at one point they made a 2.79 ratings.

It's sort of funny how a rating that for Impact! would be considered pretty good is a death nail to some when it concerns ECW.

Don't get me wrong..I understand their are a myriad of reasons why this is so..but it's still funny.

Hey, let's desensitize people to Extreme Rules matches, thus making them useless!

Or do we not remember how the Hardcore title had to become a comedy belt because no one really cared anymore?

Extreme Rules matches should be used, but only as feud enders.

That's my opinion, of course.

Well, ECW does stand for Extreme Championship Wrestling.

Hey, let's desensitize people to Extreme Rules matches, thus making them useless!

Um......ECW ran for several YEARS having all Extreme Rules matches. Nobody got sick of it then. (The company tanked largely because of Paul's total lack of ability managing the money......). And that's what they were hoping for when ECW was relaunched. The fact that they aren't all extreme rules turned a large chunk of the potential audience away, and is one of the reasons that the ratings are down from 2.8 to 1.2

So the fact that it was passed around to literally everybody on the roster (Terri had it, for Christ's sake!) had nothing to do with it? Or the fact that it was passed around so frequently it was impossible to keep track of who was champ?

On Raw or SD, I'd agree. On ECW, they should all be extreme rules. If they're not, then why call it ECW at all?

It has to be stated that the only reason 'Extreme Rules' worked in the old ECW is because it was used to add to the match, while WWE's version is basically hitting each other with paper-thin trashcan lids for ten minutes.

This is why having all no-rules matches in WWE wouldn't work.

I hate to sound like a jerk, but i hope that ECW becomes Velocity, because i like it as just Raw and Smackdown Better, and CM Punk, John Morrison, and Elija burke can compete for the US title.
