From this past weeks induction...
"Vince McMahon, having never seen the movies or the Captain Jack Sparrow character on which Pirate Paul was based, didn't "get" the character. Vince was confused"
So, what else doesn't the chairman "get"?

Didn't Scott Hall once say that Vince never saw the Scarface remake, which the Razor Ramon character was based off of?
Also, Vince Russon confirmed that Vince McMahon did not know who Tom Green was, nor what the Blair Witch Project was. Strange, because around that time I was living under the proverbial rock and could identify those two things.

Problem is, the time frame we're talking about IS ten years ago, when Tom Green and especially the BWP were in full force as pop culture phenomenons. Everyone and their grandma knew what the Blair Witch Project was, and only slightly less so for Tom Green. That's why it's flabbergasting that Vince didn't know what they were. Nowadays? Yeah, I can totally understand not knowing what those things are. Ten years ago? No. |
