I think Edge gets away with it because he sneaks it in, instead of just charging them when they see him. It looks kind of like he's knocking the wind out of them long enough for a pin, rather than squishing them.

I really think Edge has the best spear in the WWE right now (I would have said in the business, but nothing can top Rhino's). It sure looks a hell of a lot better than Batista's jog into a hug manuver.

I honestly think Edge's spear looks more impactful than Lashley's. That may sound crazy, but he just hits it a lot better, and if the WWE has taught me one thing, it's that any move can look devastating if hit (and sold) just right.

yeah see Edge's spear on Mysterio, Angle, Christian, or Jericho i've seen them sell his spear harshly

Edge's spear is horrible for a finisher. I don't know what you people are seeing but i can't, i can definitely see it as a respectable mid-match move (the way he use to use it)... but as his finisher i don't like it. He's too lanky and skinny for it to look REALLY impactful, often to me it comes off looking like a running hug.

Batista's isn't much better, Lashley's imo is the best in the WWE, though his isn't great either.

But he has so many better finishing moves then the spear.... He shoulda stuck with the Educator

The spear is in general a fine move, but I hate it when opponents f it up (Khali for example).

I think he sells it really well with it looking like he's a chopped down redwood.

Goldberg had the best delivery as he actually lifted than planted dudes.

spears now-a-days are just guys hitting then guys doing a back bump.

it just doesn't look as cool.

I personally like Batista's spear more than Lashley or Edge or even Rhino.

i think edge's spear should be a set-up to a finisher only, not AS the finisher.
