Matt McGrory (Big Fish, House Of 1000 Corpses) was going to play Andre originally, but he died during the making of the film. Never mind the fact that, due to his condition, he was bowed over and looked even less like Andre than this guy does.
This looks like sub-par porn production, and I don't think it's gonna do Andre any justice. I applaud the effort, but it looks terrible all over the place.

The worse part of this (other than the acting, and...well, everything else) was that it sounds like they created Andre's voice by recording the guy's lines and slowing and dropping his pitch. |

There's a trailer for it on YouTube that I saw atleast a year ago. I think that German/Austrian guy from Son of the Beach is in it.
