The videos have heavily hinted toward Jericho though. No, they really haven't. You can see/hear whatever you want in anything like that. I think using the same logic that most people are using, someone could say that it's obviously pointing towards almost anyone. The codes or file names or whatever have hinted toward Jericho. |

Wasn't there a week where the links were hinting towards HBK? If he comes tonight, great, but if not, don't go running down the WWE because they never said he was coming back tonight. |

I really WANT it to be Jericho, but, for some reason I'm absolutely convinced that it isn't.
I think that all the hype and all the assumptions that it is Jericho made the WWE change their course. All the hints made an added interest in No Mercy, a big one in Cyber Sunday, and a huge interest in Raw tonight.
Is anyone else as convinced as I am that the WWE will swerve us?

Has anybody ever thought that Y2J could in fact be returning but not be Save_us.222? What if he did return, but the commercials were not about him and were about someone/something else completely?

I'd be even more interested if Jericho returned the Save_Us promos kept going.
I mark for debuts. Especially on Raw where there are only a handful of new up and coming people.

The clock counts down to about 10:30 tonight. updates in a few, maybe. edit: saveus222.com/ apparently isn't owned by wwe, and it doesn't have the same ip as wwe.com. That's what I was hoping for, but there's been enough newz about it being him at this point that I don't really see it as a possibility anymore. I doubt ALL the news is wrong. Of course they can always change their mind about where things are going with angles based on what does and doesn't leak too. They aren't really locked into having 222 being him, so there is that. It would definitely be sweet for Jericho to return, and right near the end of his promo another 222 video appears on the titantron. |

Right, I've expanded on my idea of Edge being SAVE_US.222:
Surely the countdown should continue to Survivor Series, starting tonight when a new promo is aired, but instead of being ambiguous, it flat out ends with a date: Survivor Series
Then, on SmackDown! it's announced that Edge will be returning at Survivor Series. The fact they are announcing it is important, so as to distinguish it away from SAVE_US. It looks like Edge is returning, as is Y2J...
Cut to Survivor Series, and the final SAVE_US promo airs at the end of the show, going through all the previous videos and such, until all the lights go out. The music starts up, the lights lift, and stood underneath the Titantron is a long haired wrestler, arms outstretched with his back to the audience. He then speaks:
"Welcome to.... THE CUTTING EDGE!!!"
The fans go absolutely apeshit with boos ringing all around the arena. The Y2J chants start up, but Edge acknowledges them, saying "It sounds like you morons were expecting someone else. Well, I sure fooled you all, didn't I? I'M here to save SmackDown! from the likes of Batista and The Undertaker... blah blah blah"
So Edge goes into feud with Batista and the Undertaker, leading into the Royal Rumble, where Edge loses his title shot, and has to enter the Rumble instead. Edge clears house when he enters, and is left standing in the ring, the clock counts down to a new entrant, it hits zero, all the lights go out, and another countdown starts: "The resurrection" counting down to WrestleMania 24. Edge goes mental, as the crowd starts to chant widely for Y2J. Edge is eliminated when, let's say Rey Mysterio knocks him out of the ring due to the distraction. Edge enters the ring and pummels on Rey, eliminating him in the process.
Edge and Mysterio feud leading into WrestleMania, however every time Edge is cutting a promo or makes his entrance or whatever, the countdown interrupts him.
Finally, Mania hits, and Edge wins a brutal war against Mysterio. Then, whilst celebrating his victory, cutting a promo after the match going on about the continuation of his Mania undefeated streak, the countdown appears, counting down from 20 to 0, the lights go out, a massive pyro hits the Orange Bowl, Jericho's Titantron hits, and he enters through the crowd and lays out Edge.
Or something along those vague lines...

I have a feeling that if Jericho doesn't return tonight, a LOT of people are going to "stop watching the WWE".
EDIT: Granted, I will be highly upset, though. I really want a return tonight.
