I was looking at Beth Pheonix's titan tron a while back, enjoying her badassness, and realizing that I like this character.
Sure she came in out of the blue, and looked kind of weird spinning around in a cape, but right now, she's just the badass Diva Killer in a much more convincing fashion than Victoria.
It got me to thinking, I wonder what would have happend had she not injured herself wrestling Victoria and sent back to ovw?
I swear when you look back on the careers of some of these wrestlers, it's almost as if fate intervened because it just wasn't their time to shine yet, and being saved for later greatness.
Trish got injured while she just turned face after a year of being an annoying bitch who did the tug/pull type of wrestling. She twists her ankle, and 6 months later, she becomes one of hte pioneers of the reinvented women's division that's had it's highs and lows, but definitely shifted away from the "show your puppies/tits' morons that infested the attitude/ecw era.
Trish disappears again in 05 for 6 months, and all of the sudden she returns as like a God to save the Women's division from over Diva Population.
Randy Orton got injured as a bland face. He develops some charisma during his Rnn updates, comes back as a member of Evolution where HHH and Flair groom him for greatness.
The Rock gets injured, shows up later out of the blue and just joins the nation. All of the sudden it's like all his charisma was just unleashed, and he was a completely different dude.
Christian (help me out here, my memory's fuzzy here) gets an unexpected push out of the blue stealing the intercontintal title from a red hot Booker T in a battle Royal. Everyone didn't really think Christian didn't really deserve it at the time and Booker was Getting Boring. But what do you know, he cuts his hair, gets a problem solver, starts making up all these cool catchphrases and nicknames, and he's considered a rising star.
I know he got injured right when he was getting hot at some point, and came back all more interesting. But for the life of me, I seem to have blocked out a lot of 2003 and 2004.
