The Smark hate squad wants him drawn and quartered but the marks love him. And what really counts is how much money they'll make with him as face and how many they'll make with him as heel. Face > heel.
Besides, he might not get so much heat when he's back since he won't have been shoved down our throats so much lately.

He's going to be SO over upon his return that he really needs to stay face for a while.
Plus, I feel Raw is a little depleted of bigger faces as of right now...granted, this might not be the case upon return, but at least let his return pops fade out before you turn him...if you do at all.

I personally would like to see a shocking heel turn by him one day. It has nothing to do with me being "a smark" or whatever, I just think it'll be a fresh change.
Of course, I realise it's not the right thing to do yet, as he has unfinished buisness with Orton and he's too marketable, but it's the way I personally wanna see his character go.

Wow, so people didn' t stop s****ing on Cena while he was the top face overcoming the odds and defeating the vicious heel and now, this poll tells me people think he should saty as a face ? Someone better explain me this quickly before I go on a smark-murdering rampage.
And he should turn heel, and get the rapper gimmick back.

I don't think a guy like Cena would be the one to turn heel because they are short on main event heels.

I want him to come back to the biggest face pop of his career, be booked in a tag-team main event for the next raw - or not - and then screw someone over. Turn the biggest face heat into the biggest heel heat. Lay Trips out with a chair, shake hands with Orton and Vince, maybe even lose any element of the rapper gimmick and just become a Marine who kicks peoples' asses because he's ordered to do so. Whatever, just turn him heel. It'd be amazing. Not chickenshit, not a wuss, not a cheatrer, just a hardass like Angle and Brock, who didn't back down from anyone, would just murder you until long after you stopped moving, and then if you kept coming back only THEN would cheat. Gets the kind of heat that Brock did in the iuron man match, when he smacked Kurt with the chair to get heat and a DQ, but because it meant he had the advantage overall.

I always thought he was better when he was a heel myself. His whole Eminem gimmick was great when he was heel--upon turning face he was more like old school Vanilla Ice.

Cena is the most over guy in WWE right now! Turning him heel is unnecessary from a storyline standpoint, and a suicidal move in terms of business
He hasn't gotten noticeable boos in a long time now, and there's no reason whatsoever to turn him just because some of us think he was "cooler" when he was heel.
Face SuperCena has won most fans over, kids and girls love him, adult marks dig him as well... We just have to learn to live with that.
