What was to be excited about in 1994? Fans would be on their feet for jobber matches in WCW. Sting, Ric Flair, Vader, Rick Rude, Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Steamboat plenty to be excited about in WCW in 94, and as for cheering during jobber matches, well, I guess a rising tide lifts all boats WCW in 1994 was 1 million times better than anything WWE has done this year. |

It's not easy getting a strong "Same Old crap" and "Change The Channel" chant in a large venue. If you bought tickets, you look like an idiot starting them to begin with. |

i remember at the indy show i was at not long ago theres the tag team in the UK called Britians Most Wanted (aka BMW ) and there were some kids trying to get a "BMW" chant going...
so..me being me started a...
"Porsche..Porsche ..Porsche"
then a
"SAAB SAAB SAAB"
I got some choice looks from the kids

I personally like football (soccer to the Yanks) chants. It would be funny to hear a Brighton-esque chant of "you dirty northern bastards" or a chant of "you came in a f****** taxi" at a wrestling show. ;D

I agree that there's no reason for a crowd to get excited over a crappy product, but, really, if you know its not going to be that good, why bother buying tickets? Stay home, or, better yet, don't watch it for awhile.

Why should the fans care?
RAW:
20 minute promos by Vince/HBK/Orton every single week, and this is not a bash on either person cause I like them all but we dont need promos telling us the same crap every week
Oh wow a Hardcore Holly match...........You know what I havent had in a while Big League Chew
Really Cade and Murdoch lose continually to Londrick but the Highlanders come out after being nothing for 6 months and get a title shot before them.....why are WGTT jobbing every week
Hornswoggle and Coach........Im gonna take a piss dont tell me what happens cause I dont care
The bright spots are so few and far between its incredible I mean I have to sit through an hour before Kennedy,Hardy,DH Smith,Carlito, and Santino can have ten minutes of the show

To refresh a point of mine that I have stated thousands of times I DONT CARE ABOUT BATISTA HE CANT WRESTLE HE CANT CUT A DECENT PROMO AND THERE ARE DOZENS OF BETTER WRESTLERS TO PUSH
However much better undercard as Smackdown is most enjoyable brand with the MVP./Hardy feud still being awesome, Finlay, Mysterio, Noble, and JBL being the most entertaining

CM Punk is not the greatest wrestler in the world and most of the non smarks dont even know who the hell he is
Solid group of guys like Burke, Miz, Morrison, and Big Daddy V but you cant have a roster with only three faces (Punk, Dreamer, Balls)
Kevin Thorne is not entertaining without Ariel and wont be again until he is given a mouth piece or changes back to Mordecai
This and folks just want to see Jericho and wont be satisfied until it happens no matter what happens

Fans have a lot to react to, whether its booing or cheering. A lot of what you griped about does in fact get a reaction, including Hornswoggle and even Bob Holly gets reactions (there were crickets last night, however). Quite simply, some crowds are hotter than others. One thing you could have mentioned would be the Diva Search, which IS a complete waste of time, that NO audience seems to like |
