 OH NO HE DIDN'T!!! But ugh, he's totally right, Lawler is a hack, and has been one ever since about 2000 when the whole puppies thing started. And it reminds me of how much I hate Lawler's anti-ECW remarks. |

I thought the way they did this was excellent.
They managed to turn the whole of the ECW brand heel, in the eyes of the people who came to watch WWE's vision of 'Sports entertainment'. But, at the same time, they were still popular with the fans who had watched the original promotion and wanted to see the same thing in the new one. Which means that they weren't alienating any of the audience. Great move.
Then WWE had to ruin it.
ECW could've been huge, but now it's been reduced to a 'C' brand that is hardly ever mentioned. On top of it all, they had Joey Styles become just another generic announcer, which made absolutely no sense after this.
