This was inspired by the WCW News and Notes thread, so lets make one for THQ!!
- The Smackdown vs RAW series has been cancelled and in it's place is the "Wrestling Superstar" series. Inspired by the "club football" series where you can only play as one team, in these games you can play as one wrestler. Confirmed titles include and will probably be limited to Wrestling Superstar: John Cena, Wrestling Superstar: Bobby Lashley and Wrestling Superstar: Batista.

- The word going around is that THQ will abandon the current Smackdown vs. RAW control scheme, after changing it every year for the past few games for no reason whatsoever. Due to the constantly changing controls, there has apparently been a backlash from fans who don't understand why THQ feels the need to remap two or three buttons all the time, and this has prompted THQ to switch to what they call the "classic WWF Attitude controls".
- THQ's creative manager Cory Ledesma has legally changed his middle name to Buttgoblin.

- As previously reported, THQ has once again changed the control scheme of the latest Smackdown vs. Raw release. This time, not only have the controls changed, but in order to properly play the game, a peripheral featuring buttons labeled "Smackdown", "Weapon", and "BUTTSECKS" must be purchased and inserted into the second controller slot. This peripheral will retail at $39.95.

- Kevin Nash has asked if AJ Styles and Samoa Joe, who both recently jobbed on Heat to the Highlanders this week, were involved in the making of this game. He was laughed off by the developers, forcing Nash to Jacknife Powerbomb them all through tables.
- Nash has now been sent to prison, where he now shares a cell with Scott Hall. Nash and Hall have deemed themselves 'The Insiders'.

Instead of title belts the player will work his way up the card aiming to join the exclusive club. We've worked hard to ensure Mr. McMahon's ass looks as real to life as possible. Upon completion of this mode, Mr. McMahon will become playable character with the distinction of being the only wrestler in the game to wrestle without any pants. THQ are really excited about these new features we reward our loyal fans with and will keep you updated with other groundbreaking news.
- Stephanie McMahon will act as both play by play announcer, and ring announcer this year. Also in a special feature avaliable to the PS3 version she will sing all the superstars entrances this year. We hope to extend this feature across all systems in the future.

- Bumpy Knuckles and... err, the guy who performed "Crush, Kill and Destroy" on the Smackdown vs. RAW 2006 soundtrack have been confirmed to appear on the soundtrack of the latest game. Knuckles' "You Don't Want War" has been remixed by Kevin Federline and features guest vocals from Michael Cole and Paris Hilton. In the latest update we found out that Batista thought about sleeping with Hilton, but ultimately refused to do it because "even [he] [has] standards".
- THQ are doing their best to prevent a comedy machinima series known as "Night of the Jeff Hardy CAWs" from ever passing the planning stage, as they reportedly feel it would expose the possible viewers to all the 53,594 issues in their latest game.

THQ is considering making the next game in the Smackdown series cel shaded with character designs similar to the animation on Hulk Hogan's rock n wrestling.

- THQ are pleased to announce they have added over 9 new moves this year. These include Woman's Special Slap 2 and 3 and 5 brand new FU's. We are sorry to announce that to make room for all the new features we removed 159 moves from previous titles. But we feel that the new additions will more than make up for this loss. THQ will keep you reguarly updated on other new features.

- We have received extra information on this year's Create-A-Superstar. Apparently you can clone three wrestlers (Batista, John Cena and Bobby Lashley) and one diva (Torrie Wilson) and edit their clothing into either heart or floral patterns with or without bunny ears.

BREAKING NEWZ:
- THQ has announced that the only playable characters for online play will be John Cena, Stephanie McMahon and your 99OVR CAW. If you select anyone else, the game will immediately self-destruct (or the option to turn it into WCW Backstage Assault, both are as bad as each other).
