Does Dave Batista possess an ideal wrestling physique or not? What he look more credible if he slimmed down, or jack himself even more?

I think the idea of an "ideal wrestling physique" is a myth. You should be in shape and thats about it.

I don't think that the problem is that he's so big he can't move around too well, it's that he just doesn't seem like he knows what he's doing at all. He could use to slim down a little bit though, maybe twenty pounds or so. He looks a bit smaller than he used to, I think.

I think the idea of an "ideal wrestling physique" is a myth. You should be in shape and thats about it. It depends on what type of wrestler one is. Bruiser Brody talked about this in one of his interviews. He said that he once thought bigger wrestlers are better, but after he lost forty pounds, he was able to perform a lot better. He also mentions that he was around 285 pounds, which is considered skinny since people much shorter than him were around 300 pounds.

takes a lot of hardwork reguardless of roids/hgh to be in that great shape.
He looked slimmer on Smackdown and at Cyber Sunday and he moved way better in his matches.

I agree the man is terrific shape, but I am not so sure that is the definition of an "ideal wrestling shape". If the guy has little to no skills, then being in shape is a moot point

Do you think someone like Big Daddy V can be marketable if they repackage him as a main-event face?

You should be in shape, but you shouldn't have to be ripped.

It's been a while since I've seen a granpa with a physique like that. I can imagine his grandkids will have quite the tale to tell
Kid: My grandad took me fishing this weekend, and then we looked at his stamp collection. Batista's grandkid: Well, my grandad benchpressed 200 pounds on Friday, slept with a few of the WWE divas on Saturday and got his title back Sunday.

Negative. Not only is he so ripped that it hinders his ability to...MOVE, no points are awarded for taking steroids. Anyone can do that, there's nothing special about it.

"Big" Dave's vein-y roid monster look is very hard to look at for any period of time.
The fact that he's so slow in the ring and gets blown up easily makes his matches suck.
He's said it himself in his book and interviews, in his mind, since him and Undertaker are two big guys, "they should naturally have an awesome match."
It takes more than size to put on an entertaining wrestling match. The guy just tried to get as big as he could and the results are pretty plain to see.

As much as that phyisque looks pretty synthetic, would you exactly look that good at almost-40? I know I don't think so.

What good is "being in shape" if you get winded after 5 minutes of physical exertion?

perfect wrestling physique? well its worked for him. would he look more credible? why does thinner automatically mean more credible? bruno samartino was pretty jacked when he was young, i'd say he was fairly credible. plenty of jacked guys are credible.
as far as being in shape, i remember tony atlas (maybe in beyond the mat) saying he basically went from competition training (try posing for a few minutes, it takes the air right out of you, you need to be in VERY good shape to pose in a bodybuilding show) and was getting his ass kicked by guys 15 years older with beer bellies. all that muscle takes a lot of oxygen to keep going, its no wonder that many of the really bulked up guys get windeed quickly. so wrestling shape is clearly different from just "in shape".
thing is, muscleheads have always been marketable, going back to warrior, lesnar, some of the von erichs, rick rude, goldberg, scott steiner etc.,
of course, for every guy like that, there are a dozen paul romas and warlords that go nowhere.

I hate how he looks. I don't like that look in wrestlers. I like the smaller guys, CM Punk size. I hate Batistas noodly arms.

Broseph, that doesn't look good.I don't wish anyone any harm, but after all the juicing the guy has done, I wouldn't be surprised to see him suffer some serious complications once he gets older. Would I want to look all vein-y and then have roid withdrawal problems at 40? No thanks.
