Haven't been watching SD but is Rey no longer the walking Eddie tribute?
Just wondering since I know he's in a feud with Finlay so I was thinking that he stopped doing what he was doing before

i think he still has armbands... tho i may be wrong also during the SD opener when they show a pic of Rey he still has the EG t-shirt on

I think he's officially finished with that.... however, he most likely still wears armbands and shirts as a personal tribute instead of storyline fodder.

He's still got some armbands going, but Eddie hasn't been mentioned or chanted since he came back that I've seen.
The stuff he did with Chavo now is just a continuation of them fighting simply because they were fighting before, not really over the guerrero name.

They considered having a walking Chris Benoit tribute but with so many guys with zero personality and useless on the stick it seemed so unfair to just pick one.

as for the eddie pattern pants, it could just be him re-using his rumble winning outfit (in which he had eddies pattern on em ), sometimes that happens just reusing old stuff in a pinch, i'm sure hes used a WCW mask or 2 as well (the difference being the WWE ones have a cross on the forehead but the wcw ones have a crown )

If I had to guess, it might be because Chavo is off the suspension list and coming back.
Both guys have used frogsplashes since then.
I don't think there's anyone more grateful to Eddy for his contributions than Rey. If you look at where Rey's career is today as a main eventer and former world champ (and arguably also back in late 90s WCW), Eddy straight-up made Rey. Period. I'm sure he'll always appreciate what was done for him.

Actually, he got a EG tattoo inside a gothic cross after his death. It's on the inside of one of his arms.
