When they bring in Jericho, don't use him as a wrestler for a while. Instead have him be GM of one of the brands (yeah, this gets rid of either Estradaa or Regal or whoever runs SD) for a little bit. Have him start feuding with someone for a few weeks then announce a PPV match between Jericho and whoever. Then use the rest of the time to hype the match and let Jericho get rid of his ring rust.

The approach definately makes sense, but I think just letting Jericho go on the mic in a feud, and have the usual main event tag matches to give him the big match in-ring time, will be how they go.
However, that would be logical and make sense, so expect the opposite.

If Jericho only comes back for a breif time IE Foley or Austin I don't even want to see it
