I never really understood the hate the guy gets for leaving. People in the regular job market do it ever day. Don't see why this is so different. Because he chose to make WM20 at MSG his last match, and thus the fans made his last match incredibly awesome and him so easy to hate for abandoning the company to the rest of us as a result. Remember, that was Greenberg's last match with the company too. Hence the stunner for each guy.

No. Personally I miss him a lot, especially his work as a heel.

In that it got him off my TV, I whole-heartedly endorse his decision to leave.

Someone who wants to compete in a real competition Plus UFC pays a hell a lot more money than WWE does. One match alone can guarantee a million+ dollars. Really??? Which numbers are you looking at??? You usually only get that much if you are a top guy and get a part of the PPV....

I feel bad for saying this, but I kind of hope he gets his ass kicked in MMA like he did in the NFL

Right or wrong, Brock made the decision that was best for him.
The whole "you sold out" thing at WM 20 was crap. Bunch of "pseudo-smarks" who think they know everything just wanted a chance to chant something they hadn't heard since Mike Awesome in ECW.
Not that Brock was a favorite of mine or anything, but he was leaving a LOT of money to go pursue something, football, that held NO promise of a big pay day.

I'm not saying they should, but I can see how they would be pissed after they took a lot of time to make him a star and then he goes and leaves and is using that stardom to get into the UFC. Aside from people recognizing that he was a former WWE champ, I don't think Brock Lesnar is using his past to his advantage. He already put down Pro-Wrestling as fake, MMA is real, promo which implies the exact opposite. I doubt Brock even cares about his accomplishments in the WWE. You must be kidding me, there is no chance in hell Brock Lesnar would be close to the UFC yet if he wasn't in the WWE. Dana is signed him because he will draw a lot of buys and that is all from his wrestling fame.

I always liked Brock, and I think it's sad that the E hasn't asked him back. He left recently enough to be remembered (and booed) by a lot of current fans, so bringing him back and letting him loose as a natural heel, up against Batista's monster face, could be great for the business and for all of us watching.

Yeah, his former fame certainly helped, but to say he wouldn't have gotten to UFC at some point is insane..... Because his 106-5-1 college amature wrestling record, 2x NCAA champion, 4x Big Ten, and freakish natural size, strength, speed and athletic ability mean nothing in the world of MMA.... You'll never get anywhere in MMA with those pathetic credentials!

i always liked Brock especially when he first debuted I remembered just seeing him destroy the Hardy boyz and hearing Heyman screaming thinking to myself "wow those two together are perfect". I did though start to feel he got a little boring towards the end of run. But as far as him leaving I am totally torn. One on hand he was given the absolute biggest push the WWE has ever given to a rookie and pretty much made him a star without it feeling forced which is a tough thing. But in his defense I cant blame him for leaving and realizing pro wrestling wasn't for him. You have to realize he was what 23 or so when the approached him in 2000 to sign with them. The WWF was a different company in 2000 then it became in 2004. Also being 23 right out of college and his huge company is offering you the chance of a lifetime nobody would turn that down.

He is hiring Brock because of his WWE fame, sure he could be a great MMA guy in the future but that is not why he is in the UFC right now.
