The life of a ringside photographer

Anybody ever wonder about these guys? Sometimes I watch them and get vaguely jealous. What are your thoughts? Do you think it's a hard/fun/interesting job?

Kind of a weird thought, but yeah I have wondered what magazine they publish for if they are just WWE Mag or what. That is the extent of it

It's probably a pain in the ass. You have a job to do, but you can't get in the way of any other cameras, any of the performers, nor any fans' view. You have to be pretty invisible, yet still get good shots, all the while trying not to get caught up in the show to where you forget to do your job

I spent an evening with Bill Apter once, he talked about some of the best shots he ever got as a ringside photographer. Funny guy.

I doubt it's as good as it seems. Keep in mind if you miss a shot, you're screwed, they aren't doing that again. If it's a terrible match, you still need to make the photos look interesting. And if you get in the way, the wrestlers can justifiably shove you the hell out of the way.

They have definatly got better, there was a time when they were easy to spot (Atittude era) they were everywhere Im watching WMXX now and Im having to search to spot them
