I would really hate to find out she died from a blood clot. That would mean if something was done she still could be alive today. a heart attack is one thing.
Fabulous Moolah died after shoulder surgery Legendary professional wrestler Mary Lillian Ellison — aka the Fabulous Moolah, who died Friday in Lexington — might have died from a heart attack or blood clot, said her daughter, Maryetta Austin.
Ellison, who was born in Tookiedoo, near Columbia, died Friday after shoulder replacement surgery.
The Fabulous Moolah called Columbia home and became the first female inductee to the World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame.

That's a shame. Old people who are prone to clotting, that's always a HUGE concern after surgery. My grandpa has to worry about that stuff all the time, as he has some sort of blood disease. Thankfully, my dad and I don't have it.

Well, if it wasn't old age or a degenerative disease, it would be nice to hear the details.

The blood clot thing can happen to anyone in any kind of surgery. My mom's ex-boyfriend's sister went in for Gastric Bypass surgery, it all went well, she was lying down, then when she stood up the clot traveled to her heart and BAM, dead instantly. And she was only 40-something.

I hope the WWE doesn't forget about Mae Young without Moolah being there as well. I'm sure Mae would still like to be on TV every now and than.
You can say what you want about how "badly" the WWE treated them for the past decade, making them a joke, a sideshow, or whatever.
But there's no doubt about it that the two of them absolutely LOVED it, as they would have done anything to still be apart of the wrestling business.
If, I'm not mistaken, one of them's last wish to accomplish, was to wrestle on their 100th Birthday.

Moolah was usually the "straight man" so to speak, having to stop Mae from raping people...

I read some interview where Mae said she still plans to wrestle a match when she turns 100 and will dedicate it to Moolah.
