Remember last week, after dX's return, Vince was all ominous about it? Remember that? And we were like, oh, Shawn heel turn.
And then tonight...Nothing. Randy looks like a chump, the return of the fat oily dancing guy, fully clothed F-list celebrities dancing, Dx stands victorious.
What was this?

Just how many threads you gonna hit up talking about the same thing?

Not gettin' yah. Only mentioned the Dx thing in...You know, as a part of a list in one other thread.
I feel it was a weird enough bit of continuity to merit speculation from seasoned posters such as yourself.
But, I guess you don't have anything to say about it. Anyway, thanks for stopping by Cornfed! Always love the sigs!

Eh. I never was one of those people who jumped to the conclusion that Shawn may be turning heel, it wouldn't make any sense.
The DX angle served it's purpose. To get the fans to pop for Triple H for one night.

I didn't think a heel turn was happening, but... I was assuming Vince would do SOMETHING.
Even if it was a half-baked "attack one of the guys before the match, making it 2 on 1, that guy comes out and saves the day at the end" things.

Well technically it was a one night only thing to give the DX angle closure. Any kind of attck by the boss or anyone would have only served to continue the angle.
So it served it's purpose and continued the existing angles, I saw no problem with it.

It just seemed like there was no direction at all tonight. I know we complained about too many skit shenanigans and not enough wrestling, but tonight no storylines were significantly advanced, and the matches were still too short.

If it wasn't announced by Vince while he had an evil look on his face and was acting suspiciously all night, then there would have been no problem. It just seems like they had something in mind last week, then decided not to do it.

Maybe he knew Hornswoggle would want to join and needed an excuse to punish him.

Who cares? All that mattered is the show was great, why look into it too much?

What was weird is last week as soon as Vince announced he'd bring them back, he had this look like "Why in the Hell did I do that?" Knowing how much he hates DX and all, but they were all over Raw last night and I think it helped it obviously, and Mr. McMahon made it through pretty much unscathed compared to how things usually go, when DX is on the show

Personally, I thought it went well to end DX. But if you really need a reason for the comeback, three simple words - Sell. More. Merchandise.

Is it possible his "One night only" with the strange look was one of those inside digs he likes to do against the network for the green week thing? Otherwise I don't know what the look was about.
