The general problem with ECW being a constant stare down fest makes me hate him even more.
Sitting there watching him grin for 5 minutes while Morrison was seething with anger but didnt go through the ropes and kick his ass, made no sense and generally made them both look like tools.
Which doesnt help me in the liking him department.

I don't even understand what they are trying to accomplish by having Miz feud with Morrison. It's not like either one can turn face. The entire concept of a "John Morrison" character is that of a heel. Miz is a great heel because almost everyone wants to see him get his ass beat. If WWE thinks that the masses are going to cheer the Miz, they are in for a surprise. Maybe one or two guys will, but that's about it. Now with ECW's "wafer thin" roster I don't mind Miz facing Morrison once or twice for a #1 contendership or something, but an all-out feud will be pointless.

My guess as to why they're pushing him towards the title now is that they're trying to "give the fans what they want" in regards to how they voted on Cyber Sunday.
My guess as to why they voted like that on Cyber Sunday is simply because Punk had wrestled both Morrison and BDV for the title on PPV while he had never done so with the Miz.
In general like someone else said, the miz is a pretty useful guy to have around. Because of his "X-Pac heat" and real world stigma it seems like -- for at least the time being -- wherever you put him fans will boo him. I respect the fact that he seems to have a legitimate love for the business and a desire to do well in whatever position they put him in (even if he mostly just comes off as a douche). He has potential.

Miz is probably one of the most improved wrestlers in the WWE this year.
His matches are much better and he's found the right character. He has major potential.
