My opinion about The Miz is a lot like the general opinion of him seems to be; mixed. To be honest, I have not been all that impressed with the guy so far. But he also has not quite been given a chance to do anything impressive either. So far, he has had some small feuds of little note. He strikes me as at least a bit talented in the ring and on the stick, but he needs a bit more training and experience before he will become a truly solid worker. I also think he is suffering a bit of Lashley syndrome-pushed too damn far a bit too fast. Jumping from a series with Balls Mahoney-which doesn't even seem to be over yet-to chasing Punk for the title is a bit too much too soon. But that is just a reflection of the overall problem with ECW. They do not have enough veteran workers that the fans actually respect to help establish these younger stars they have sent over. Personally, right now, I am hoping he will have a rare heel vs. heel feud with Morrison, which could be fun. A lot better than more squashing of Tommy Dreamer.

I've always been a fan of the guy, but he's really stepped it up in recent weeks.

He's ok. Most of the hate comes from who he is and not what he does. The MTV vibe turns lots of people off. He's not that great in ring, he's alright out of ring, and he doesn't really hurt or help WWE that much. No reason to get rid of him.

He's always going to have that stigma of being the guy that used to be on the Real World and all those MTV reality challenge shows. Everytime I see him, I immediately think that he must win this match or he's going to the Inferno.

I wish there was a Who cares about the Miz? option as I really don't. Can't stand him, so I just don't watch him.

The fact so many people hate him so passionately only means he's doing his job well. He should never be champion for more than an eyeblink, but he's an asset in his role.

I don't really care.
To me he looks like just another generic (and slim) cocky heel

He's nothing special in the ring (sandbagging something as simple as a goddamn ring post toss? who the smurf does he think he is?), and yet somehow has the ability to at least sound more convincing on the mic than ECW's supposed top heel John "Oh god I'm afraid you're going to hit me and thus i mutter my insults under my breath" Morrison.

I'd say he's fairly good, but he isn't ever going to be a top tier guy. A useful midcard person to have around.

The Miz is working harder than he has been in the past, but, he still sucks big time. His gimmick makes no sense at all and it makes him come across as a complete phoney and fans never buy into gimmicks that make performers look like phoneys. Plus, his in ring work is just a noch below average and only went up from absolute crap within the last few months. The only reason that he won the Cyber Sunday poll was that no fan wanted to see John Morrison win the title back from CM Punk and we all knew that The Miz wouldn't have won the title (and also the fact that The Miz was the least of three evils. If Tommy Dreamer was in that poll he would have won by a landslide without even having to do an interview about it). Although, I will say that at least The Miz's gimmick and persona make a little bit more sense than Morrison's gimmick which makes him look like a bad male porn star.

He's one of those heels I generally hate, but he does have some potential.

He's improved since joining ECW, but I still don't really see myself ever caring about him.

I think he should be in the role that Carlito is now- a midcard heel that is more about annoying the crowd than maintaining credibility.

It seems like he has potential... just keep him off WWE tv for a couple years, fer Chrissakes. I seriously despise him.
While he may have potential in the character department, he's still the most green performer on WWE. He's not ready yet, and that's most of the reason why I loathe him so. There are sooo many way more talented folks in OVW who are already seasoned and ready for the big shows... but nooo, let's put the reality tv star who no one really remembers on TV.
That said, I hope he can get better so I'm not so aggravated by seeing him on my TV.

For one thing, I think Miz has A LOT of potential. If you wipe out the "reality show" gimmick, the Red-Rooster-like haircut, and the women, then you got at least a solid mid-carder, or well, main event status given the brand.

Don't like him. No charisma on the microphone. Decent in the ring, but without some ring presence, some friggin' pathos, you don't need to be where others that excel more than you should be.
Hoorah? WTF?
Don't like him.
