I wonder if Bret and Shawn can now sit down face to face and reflect on their history prior to the screwjob.
They had some tremendous chemistry in matches and promos alike and it would be good to see a shoot interview with both of them giving a candid account from their own perspective and what (if anything) they would have done differently.
Does anyone have any info or account any verbal exchange between them from recent times?
Thanks

If anyone could get Diamond Dave and Van Halen together. Surely anyone can get two middle-aged men to overcome their squabbles. You'll probably need cash though. Lots and lots of cash.

Did anyone ever explain where Michaels was when Bret was inducted into the HOF?

Doubtful.
Bret's career was crippled by the Screwjob: WCW wasted him and his talent and he got his career-ending concussion there.
Plus they never liked each other that much before it either.
But then, Bret and Vince made amends, so we can go on record as saying stranger things *have* happened...

Do they have to really? It's not like they have to see or talk to one another.

Don't think so.
After all, Vince patched things up with Bret, because both had more to gain from a "ceasefire" situation: Bret would have put his hand on his DVD, making it a worthwile retrospect on his career [good for Bret], and for sure a more appealing product [good for Vince]. Ditto for the Hall of Fame induction: Bret on WWE TV again = buyrates.
Shawn and Bret have little to gain from a reconciliation. They didn't like eachother before Montreal, and they haven't really done a thing to solve their issues.
Bret has stated his dislike for Shawn, HolyBible Kid or not. Shawn still thinks Bret was a pompous ass and a stupid.
I can live with people disliking eachother and holding grudges: we're only humans. Happy endings aren't a must, sadly.

No, I think it more-so on Bret's side than Michaels. Bret is still very bitter about things, which is partially understandable, but sometimes you just have to let things go.

I saw his recent shoot he did with Jim Neidhart and the guy doesn't seem bitter at all. The Montreal thing was hardly brought up and he seemed to be quite happy actually.
You can't be friends with everyone you come across and HBK/Hart had a long standing feud before the Montreal thing came about.
HBK's happy in his life, Bret seems happy in his, just leave it at that,IMO.

The screwjob made Bret Hart..... Without it he would be anoher flash in the pan. Just notice that wherever he was companies started going down the craps. He left WWE and E became HUGE. He went to WCW.... WCW was gone in a few years. Okay he is not to blame for WCW.
BUTTTTTTTT!!! Honestly the only thing that really keeps his name in the big lights is what happend 10 years ago, and him crying about it.

How is he crying about it when in nearly every interview that is conducted with him, they constantly ask him about it? And about being in companies when they went down the crapper, you could say the same thing for HBK when he was World Champion. Also, Bret was long established before the screwjob came about and if you would like to stop hearing about the screwjob, then you could ask Vince to stop doing storylines and interviews that center around it for the past 10 years.

I must have dreamt Bret Hart defeating Ric Flair in 92 for the Championship to a thunderous pop, and beating Yokozuna in 94 to another thunderous pop, and overall being one of the companies biggest draws not named Hogan. Damn that Hart! He was just a phoney all along! He was nothing without the screwjob! The screwjob made the Attitude Era, which helped WWE recover from the beating Ted Turner was giving them week after week, it certainly didn't make Bret Hart.

Damn that Hart! He was just a phoney all along! He was nothing without the screwjob! HAHAHA!!! Exactly what I was going to say. In any case... no, I don't see that happening. Even in the bit were they didn't even HAD to see each other, let alone talk to each other, and they only had to be in the same DAMN room (for about 25 minutes or so), Bret exclusively said "If Shawn is there, I ain't doing it" Of course people, I'm talking about Bret's HoF induction. Is Shawn bitter??? Beats me. I'm sure he "NEVAR FORGETS!", but I don't see him making a big deal about it, specially after he because full of his christian stuff and what-not. Bret doesn't put too much attention to it any longer (specially after Owen's death. Most "don't care for Bret" people tend to ferget about that tiny winny point). They're both the two sides of the coin: one was a guy who wanted to be respected about everything else, but one buissness accident (that's be best term I can come up with) made his career descend into oblivion AND he also had to suffer the death of everybody he cared about around him (Owen, Bulldog, Pillman, "that who can't be mentioned", Earthquake...); while the other, while never as good as the first, after the very same accident had his carrer turned the other way around (he was already quite big before it, though) and, thanks to a friend (Trips), now has a work insurance. Since they're both so contrasting, of course they will always have some hate for each other. At least that's how I see it. El Cernex

Shawn Michaels could care less about this thing! He did what he was told. I just don't get why he Hart didn't want him there for the Hall of Fame. In a perfect world they should have had Shawn Michaels talk about Bret before his induction, saying he might not like him personally but that he respects him... But oh well just Bret beign Bret i guess.

And considering Shawn had problems with Bret before it, I'm sure he didn't mind much at all putting the screws to him as tensions were high at the time.

Shawn hits Bret over the head with a box of frosted flakes? You know I would like to see that too.
