www.megavideo.com/?v=TJJSI7FKOne of my favorite moments of a great 1997 year in WWE. Stone Cold's championship partner Shawn Michaels goes down, so he declares he will be defending the tag straps against the Hart Foundation himself. Mankind petitioned for weeks to be Austin's partner, only to be stunned. But Austin never said no to the Dude.... Austin's facial expressions totally make this segment.

I thought Dude Love debuted when Vince and Austin were about to wrestle on Raw and he interrupted it.

I thought Dude Love debuted when Vince and Austin were about to wrestle on Raw and he interrupted it. Totally wrong there. The time you're referring to is a week after Foley allegedly "left" the company in response to the cage match he and Terry Funk had had against the NAO. Just a little history lesson there.

Sure the audio might be a little muffled in the vid but I can still tell thats a 97 wrestling audio system coming from that truck. Certainly not like today which seems cleaner.

This was the show also famous for the "Bret Hart humps cows" sign. I laughed when I saw that. There was another sign right beside it that said something equally amusing, but I can't remember off the top of my head what it was.

I think they actually show Vince, Foley and the crew rehearsing for The Dude Love characters debut in the Beyond the mat documentary.
I love watching Raw's from this time period.

Yeah this was actually a cool moment.
JR screaming Dude Love LIVES! is all sorts of awesomeness.

its sad to think that two of those guys are dead, and the other two are shells of their former selves.

He's a Sex Idol? And we thought JR sold out when he shilled for Skitles The Dude was always one of my favorite Foley's, second only to Cacus Jack
