Hilarious - why didn't he say this when he was cowering in the corner of the Molson Centre backstage area like a little girl getting told off by Julie Hart?

The screwjob is the most overblown thing in wrestling history.
Vince was a complete moron to ask his champion to leave the company and go to WCW. Waiting for the last minute to get the title off of him.
Bret was a baby for not wanting to lose a fake title.
Afterword Vince goes on to make millions with the Attitude Era and Bret made millions in WCW.
So you have a moron and a baby who are now both rich. Why everyone still dwells on this 10 years later is beyond me

I like how he says that "WE" wouldn't have let that happen. Um, who's "WE"? You weren't even any major part of the company then, Trips. You were pretty much a nobody and would stay that way until after Bret and Shawn were both gone from the company. Should have stayed that way because by all accounts, you suck. To be fair, the Screwjob was Triple H's idea. Yep, According to Shawn's autobiography, Triple H came up with the idea to screw Bret.

Because he was too busy going "I swear to God I had nothing to do with this..." Being a lying, sniveling coward takes up a lot of energy man. C'mon.

yeah pretty much. I mean even Hogan jobbed to YOKO IN AMERICA! OMG HOGAN'S A HERO IN THE USA! You might wanna do some reasearch, bro. Hogan actually refused to drop the belt to Bret, same thing Bret is being flaked for. How can I confirm this? Watch the Kevin Nash RF shoot. He says it himself that the locker room was unhappy that Hogan didn't want to lose to Bret and that he was hurting the business. I think the point Joekishi was making was not about Hogan/Bret, but rather Hogan was considered an American hero but still jobbed the title to the Japanese representative in Yokozuna and got squashed on his way out. I don't think it hurt that badly,IMO. To each his own I guess. As for the Screwjob deal, Vince shouldn't have given Bret creative control to avoid such things like this happening.

About Hogan...
Yes he dropped the belt to Yoko, but AFAIK there wasn't real-life animosity between the two, Yoko had jobbed to Hogan at Mania three months earlier.
And anyway Hogan had like 10 years worth of main eventing status, so a loss against Yokozuna couldn't possibly harm his image. And he wasn't supposed to leave (or at least fans didn't know), so he was expected to bounce back once again.
On the other hand, Bret was officially having his last hooray in WWF. He did want to lose, but not to Shawn and not at SurvSer. I don't think it was such a big deal after all, even though I understand VInce's crapping his pants and seeing enemies and danger everywhere.
Anyway: Triple H's comment is half in-character and half-real.
And he's right... Shawn and him aren't so stupid to let that happen: especially because they'd arrange a double-cross before the opponent may do... Hit first...

Thing is, though, that Hogan vs. Yoko at KotR 1993 had very, VERY little build up. In fact, after WM 9, Hogan basically disappeared off WWF TV until the June pay per view. A promo here and there, sure, but the guy was almost invisible. Bret vs. Shawn was billed as a Canada vs. USA blood feud, again, like its been said, more along the lines of Hogan vs. Slaughter.

To be fair, the Screwjob was Triple H's idea. Yep, According to Shawn's autobiography, Triple H came up with the idea to screw Bret. But he told Bret's wife he didn't know anything about it! Anyway, I love the screwjob because it gave me my favorite wrestling moment maybe ever: Earl getting the HELL outta the arena faster than Carl Lewis.

Hilarious - why didn't he say this when he was cowering in the corner of the Molson Centre backstage area like a little girl getting told off by Julie Hart? And this is where Triple H is flawed... AGAIN! The reason he thinks Bret is stupid is because he assumes that no one saw Wrestling With Shadows. He really thinks they pulled a fast one on Bret and that the "Dumbassed Calgary Canadian" never saw it coming. Which is why Bret wore a wire the last time he spoke with Vince about the ending of the match? Which is why Bret went to Earl Hebner and made him swear on his kids nothing was going to happen? Yeah, that sure sounds like a dumbass who is none the wiser... Sorry Trips, people actually did watch Wrestling With Shadows. And we enjoyed it MUCH more than your half-witted, half-hour promos of 2003. And yes, when we watched this documentary, we all saw Julie Hart make you her BITCH! You claim you were a "big star" without your wife, yet you didn't look much like a "cerebral assassin" when Steph didn't write you a snappy comeback for Julie Hart. Bret >>>>>>>>>> Triple H END OF ARGUMENT!
