Well the survivor Series is coming up next sundy and So I ask the question out of all of the different Survivor Series in the past whcih is your favorite. This thread can be for matches too post am emory you liked. Growing up the survivor series was my favoite event behidn the rumble. I've only been to one survivor series in 2002 and I remember beign really excited about the elmination chamber but being ticked at the same tiem that the only thing close to a traditional survivor series match was the 6 man tables match. Personally my faorite survivor series match was survivor series 1996. I've watched the tape prolly a million times and it has a great blend of survivor series match mixed with the regular ones. They also did a great job of showcasing new talent with Dog furnas/phil lafon, rocky miavia and Flash Funk. Then they also had a great bret hart/austin match and I liekd the sid/michales match when the crowed cheered for sid the whole time... ya gotta love nyc. Also if you have the free for all on tape you have a wrestlecrap survivor stlye match as team captain bart gunn leads bob spark plugg holly, the real double j, jesse james and aldo montoya defeated team captain billy gunn leading justin hawk bradshw, salvatore sincere and the sultan! Great show and there was even an appearacne from terry grody as the executioner!

But...but...1987-2001 (I believe) weren't WWE Survivor Series. They were WWF Survivor Series. I don't like many WWE Survivor Series. The WWF ones were great.

WHEN? Survivor Series, 1994. WHY? Chuck Norris kicks Jeff Jarret in the stomach.

That may have been sarcasm, but I too find using WWE in reference to anything before 2002 to be really annoying. As for my pick, it would either be 1988 or 1989. I thought 1989 as a whole was better, but I loved the Mega Powers/Twin Towers match in 88. But really, anything from 1987-1991 was gold, IMO.

1996 was an interesting event.
Alot of debuts: Furnas & Lafon, Rocky Maivia, Flash Funk, not to mention the first appearance of the Nation of Domination version of Faarooq.
Mystery Partners including Jake Roberts, and Jimmy Snuka
One of the many returns of Undertaker, this time after being Buried Alive
The return of Bret Hart, and his first meeting with Austin, which was a great match, which seems to be nearly forgotten after their I Quit match at WM 13.
A solid main event of Sid and HBK, where it seems like the majority of the fans in MSG that night were very much behind Sid. Seriously, the place went crazy for him, and they were actually booing the face champion, Michaels during the match.

1998.
That tournament is one of the best booked things WWE has ever done IMO.

I liked 2002 - the first Elimination Chamber (even though it included Shawn Michaels' homoerotic brown tights), the Battle of the SmackDown! Six, the reunion of the Dudleyz and a good Trish/Victoria hardcore match.

I THINK 1991 is mine, even if it was just for the Flair-Piper team match, and Undertaker vs Hogan.

So many great events, tough to choose. 87 and 88 are f***ing classic, but there's never really been a bad one.

90. First Survivor Series I saw and will always be my favorite. Looking back, it's not that hot, but it was amazing at the time.

I dont know, I remember last years i thought was going to be amazing but it ended up being eh at best. The dx/rko match could have been great , the five most over guys in the company but they had them dominate and make mike knox look like a fool. Instead we ended the ppv with awful batista holding up the title with a smile on his face and the week after well we wont get into that.

Survivor Series 1998
Match quality wise....m'eh, but just for the story told throughout the 3 hours, all the twists and turns involving Shane, Vinnie, Austin, Mankind and the Rock...It's still the most watched PPV in davetheraves house
Plus the other reason;
"Cos it's a deadly game....."
